The Chartered Professionals in Human Resources Canada (CPHR) and Bangladesh Society for Human Resources Management (BSHRM) have each signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to share information and opportunities that advance the HR Profession globally.

“These partnerships are exceptional alignments for CPHR Canada,” said Anthony Ariganello, CEO of CPHR Canada. “Globalization is having tremendous impacts on jobs, workplaces and economies all over the world. It’s more important than ever that the human resource profession creates these international alliances, to identify trends and challenges and position our members to better serve employers and employees in these transitions.”

The MoU defines the nature of the partnerships and the areas in which the organizations will inter-relate.

“With BSHRM, we will be looking for opportunities to partner on international agenda items, to share resources and compare industry trends,” said Shannon Railton, chair of CPHR Canada. “Bangladesh is one of the fastest-growing and emerging economies in the world, with over 150 million people, so the HR profession is growing at a tremendous pace there, as well, so their perspective is very informative. Members in Canada and Bangladesh will have opportunities to connect internationally through conferences, networking and information sharing.”

The Bangladesh Society for Human Resources Management provides leadership to more than 2,000 members while CPHR Canada represents 27,000 members across nine provinces and three territories in Canada.
