CSTD announces award winners

Canadian Society for Training and Development honours the best in the training field at annual president's dinner

The Canadian Society for Training and Development has selected the winners for its ninth annual awards.

The OTTER (Ontario’s Top Training Excellence Recognition) awards were handed out at the society’s annual president’s dinner and awards ceremony. Presentation of the awards took place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre as part of the Nov. 12-13 knowledge exchange conference.

“It was extremely exhilarating to witness the high caliber of entries competing in this year’s OTTER awards,” said Lynn Johnston, executive-director of CSTD. “Employees, customers and business partners who are exposed to this type of outstanding training can only benefit in terms of greater knowledge and improved skills.”

The 2003 OTTER award winners are:

An Honourable Mention went to each of the following companies L(earn)2, MICA Management, exper!ence it Inc., ACERRA, and Link Multimedia Corporation.

The winning training programs and products are selected based on their originality, training design, packaging, communication style, integrated evaluation strategy, and overall value to end users. Winners represent training and development organizations of all sizes, across a broad range of industry sectors.
