Renewal agreement: Effective Aug. 1, 2023 to July 31, 2026. Signed on Aug. 1, 2023.

Shift premium: 5% for shift work (move away from regular hours of work of at least 4 hours).

Paid holidays: 11 days.

Vacations with pay: 6% pay to start, 8% after 8 years.

Medical benefits: Employer will contribute $1.53 per hour (previously $1.10 per our) into Open Circle Hour bank Benefit Plan as administered by Open Circle Benefit Services.

Pension: Employer will contribute 4%, employee will contribute 4% after 1 year of service into group RRSP.

Uniforms/clothing: Employee will be responsible for equipping self with personal and protective clothing normally worn including acceptable hard hat, safety boots and gloves, except welding gloves.

Tool allowance: Journeyman tradesman will supply and maintain all of hand tools required to perform work and apprentice or sub-journeyman will supply and maintain all hand tools required to perform class and kind of work assigned. Employer will supply all power tools and equipment required for work to be done.

Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after 9.3% increase):

Journeyman: $39.72 rising 5 steps to $43.42

Fourth-year 85%: $33.76 rising 5 steps to $36.91

Third-year 75%: $29.79 rising 5 steps to $32.57

Second-year 65%: $25.82 rising 5 steps to $28.22

First-year 50% $19.86 rising 5 steps to $21.71
