Renewal agreement: Effective May 1, 2026 to April 30, 2029
Probationary period: 6 months
Paid holidays: New Year's Day, Family Day, Labour Day, Good Friday, Thanksgiving Day, Victoria Day, Christmas Day, Canada Day, Boxing Day
Personal emergency leave: 3 unpaid days for sick leave, family responsibility leave
Bereavement leave: 2 unpaid days
Overtime: 1.5 times regular hourly wage for 10+ hours daily/40+ hours weekly
Shift premium: 20% added to hourly rate between 10 pm and 6 am
Employee benefits: CLAC Health Trust Fund, Benefit Plan, CLAC Pension Plan
Discipline: Sunset clause of 12 months for letters of warning; 24 months for records of suspension
Safety gear: $1,000 per year for clothing, boots
Mileage reimbursement: $0.60 per kilometre outside free zone; daily food allowance of $60 for overnight accommodation
Sample rates of pay:
- Power line technician: $50 rising 2 steps to $52.53
- Mechanic: $48 rising 2 steps to $50.43
- Level 1 labourer: $20 rising 2 steps to $21.01
