Renewal agreement: Effective June 15, 2026 to June 14, 2028; signed May 13, 2026
Paid holidays: New Year's Day, Family Day, Labour Day, Good Friday, Thanksgiving Day, Victoria Day, Christmas Day, Canada Day, Boxing Day, Civic Holiday, ½ day before Christmas Day, ½ day before New Year’s Day, Anniversary Day, Remembrance Day
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks for 1 to 3 years of service; 3 weeks for 3 to 8 years; 4 weeks for 8 to 18 years; 5 weeks for 18 to 25 years
Overtime: 1.5 times regular hourly wage
Employee benefits: Life insurance, AD&D, supplementary health, LTD, dental plan, pension plan, RRSP,
Bereavement leave: 3 paid days for immediate family (husband, wife, child, parents, siblings, grandparents, siblings-in-law, parents-in-law)
Probationary period: 60 days
Safety boots: Employer provides 100% of cost of safety boots for first pair; 100% for replacement boots when required; 50% or $30 for third/fourth pair
Tools: employer provides tools, equipment needed
Uniforms/clothing: employer provides coveralls, welder’s jacket once every 2 years; 100% of winter boots/year for certain departments
Sample rates of pay:
- Grinder/chipper: $28.28 rising 1 step to $28.85
- Maintenance/shop quality control/machinist: $32.26 rising 1 step to $32.90
- Millwright: $34.31 rising 1 step to $35.00
