Renewal agreement: Effective June 1, 2022 to May 31, 2026. Signed on Feb. 23, 2023.
Wage adjustments:
Effective June 1, 2023: 3.5%
Effective June 1, 2024: 3.5%
Effective June 1, 2025: 3.25%
Vacations with pay: 15 hours per month (180 hours per year) to start, 16 hours per month (192 hours per year) after 5 years, 17 hours per month (204 hours per year) after 8 years, 18 hours per month (216 hours per year) after 12 years. Vacation entitlement may be carried over from year to year, maximum 252 hours. Vacation accrual greater than 252 hours as of Dec. 31 and not scheduled for following year, will be paid out.
Overtime: Time and one-half for time worked after 168 hours in 4-week rotation or after employee’s regularly scheduled daily shift.
Paramedical: $1,500 per year.
Sick leave: 3 days per year plus 7 personal leave days.
Pension: All employees must participate in either Arctic Canadian Diamond DB pension plan or Arctic Canadian Diamond Company DC pension plan, as applicable.
Bereavement leave: 4 days for death in immediate family (father, mother, stepfather, stepmother, foster-parent, brother, sister, spouse, common-law spouse, child (including child of spouse or common-law spouse), stepchild, ward of employee, grandfather, grandmother, grandchild, father-in-law, mother-in-law, spouse’s brother or sister, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, any relative permanently residing in employee’s household). Up to 3 additional paid leave days will be given if at end of 4 days of leave, employee is unable to connect with scheduled flight back to site from usual point of departure.
Call-in pay: Greater of compensation at applicable overtime rate or compensation equivalent to 4 hours of pay at employee’s regular straight-time rate.
Probationary period: 672 hours worked.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide for all protective devices, specialized environmental clothing, PPE that employer requires employees to have to enable employees to perform job duties safely.
