Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2021 to Dec. 31, 2023. Signed on Dec. 10, 2021.

Shift premium: $1.25 per hour for all hours worked, including overtime hours, between 4 p.m. and 8 a.m. (will not be paid for hours worked between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.) $1.25 per hour for overtime hours worked on Saturday, Sunday, holidays. $3.09 per hour for employee assigned lead responsibilities.

Paid holidays: 14 days, including National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Saskatchewan Day, 1 float day (in lieu of Easter Monday), 2 float days.

Vacations with pay: 15 days to start, 20 days after 8 years, 25 days after 18 years, 30 days after 25 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for worked after employee’s normal scheduled daily hours or on first and second days of rest. When employee is required to work overtime and is required to use caregiver, and other parent is not available to care for dependent, employee will be reimbursed for out-of-pocket expenses. Time may be banked, maximum 48 hours or 6 working days. Compensatory leave not used by end of fiscal year will be paid in cash.

Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

STD: Employee pays 100% of premiums.

LTD: Employee pays 100% of premiums.

Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Pension: DC plan.

Bereavement leave: 4 days for death in immediate family (father, mother, stepfather, stepmother, foster-parent, brother, sister, spouse, common-law spouse resident with employee, child, child of common-law spouse, stepchild, ward of employee, father-in-law, mother-in-law, grandfather, grandmother, grandfather-in-law, grandmother-in-law, grandchild, daughter-in-law, son-in law, relative residing in employee’s household). 1) day for death of brother-in-law, sister-in-law. Additional 3 days for travel related to death. 0.5 days for death of distant relative or close personal friend.

Seniority – recall rights: 12 months for employees permanently appointed to position outside bargaining unit. 1 year for employees temporarily appointed or on acting assignment outside bargaining unit.

Call-in pay: Greater of 2 hours of pay at applicable overtime rate or applicable rate of overtime for time worked.

Probationary period: 6 months (period may be extended for just cause up to 3 months).

Discipline: Sunset clause is 3 years for document or written statement related to disciplinary action.

Severance: 2 week’s pay for each of first, second, third year of service; 1 week of pay for each additional year of service thereafter.

Safety shoes: $200 per year.

Uniforms/clothing: Uniforms and appropriate protective clothing, including winter boots, will be provided on individual basis to employees who are required to wear them on duty.

Building maintenance technician: $28.03 rising 1 step to $28.59

Carpenter/locksmith: $35.88 rising 1 step to $36.60

Electrician: $42.56 rising 1 step to $43.41

Fire chief $39.82

Firefighter: $38.14 rising 1 step to $39.62

Firefighter (red leader): $41.30 rising 1 step to $42.84

FMO: $28.34 rising 1 step to $28.90

FMO supervisor: $38.09

FMT supervisor: $41.55

Heating technician: $36.40 rising 1 step to $37.13

Heavy duty mechanic: $38.68 rising 1 step to $39.46

HVAC: $42.56 rising 1 step to $43.41

Labourer: $26.23 rising 1 step to $26.76

Editor’s notes: Travel expenses: Employees travelling to conduct business on behalf of employer will be reimbursed actual and reasonable expenses incurred by employee, maximum $70 per day for meal expenses. Standby: 1 hour of pay for each 8 consecutive hours on standby.
