Renewal agreement: Effective May 24, 2018, to May 23, 2021. Signed on Nov. 15, 2018.
Wage adjustments:
Effective anniversary date of collective agreement signing: 2%
Paid holidays: 9 days, plus 2 floating personal paid holidays every year.
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 4 years.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 60%, employee pays 40% of health and welfare monthly premiums. Employer will remit full costs, applicable taxes, of any government-sponsored health insurance program as required by province of Ontario.
Dental: 80% for basic/preventative, endodontic/periodontics, oral surgery, prosthodontics removable. 50% for major restorative, fixed prosthodontics. $2,000 maximum per year. $12.50 per visit, maximum $250 per year for physiotherapist. $400 per year for licensed clinical psychologist, speech therapist.
Vision: $300 every 24 months ($300 every 12 months for dependants younger than 18) for lenses/frames, prescribed eyeglasses, contacts, sunglasses or laser eye surgery for adults. $50 once every 24 months for eye exams.
Paramedical: $200 per year maximum for chiropractor, naturopath, osteopath, podiatrist, Christian scientist, practitioner, chiropractor, podiatrist after OHIP. $25 per year maximum for X-rays.
Sick leave: All employees will be entitled to 10 personal emergency leave days per year. Personal emergency leave days can be used to attend doctor’s appointment if appointment is because of illness, injury, medical emergency or urgent matters.
AD&D: Coverage of $50,000.
Life insurance: Coverage of $50,000.
Pension: Employer pays 60%, employee pays 40% of premiums for Ontario Teamsters Benefit Plan Trust Fund. Effective Nov. 1, 2019: $250 plus RST (retail sales tax) per member (employee) per month. Effective Nov. 1, 2020: $262.50 plus RST per member per month.
Bereavement leave: After 3 months of service, 3 days for death in immediate family (father, mother, spouse, grandparents, grandchild, child, brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, common-law partner). Should more time be required for any reason relating to death, leave of absence will not be unreasonably withheld.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 consecutive months; 2 years for medical leaves.
Call-in pay: Minimum of 4 hours’ pay at regular straight-time hourly rate or time and one-half for all hours worked, whichever is greater.
Probationary period: 60 actual days worked.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months.
Mileage: $0.50 per kilometre to any employee asked by employer to travel using own vehicle.

Editor’s notes: Medical examinations: Employer will pay, after 3 years of service, all examinations, maximum $100, required by employer or federal legislation, U.S. legislation or any medical examination required by federal legislation, for purpose of maintaining driver’s licence. If examination is taken after working hours, employee will be paid $25. Charter meals: $35 Canadian (previously $30) if charter is in Canada; $43.50 Canadian (previously $35), if charter is in U.S. Cleaning supplies: In all vehicles, employer will provide Kleenex, paper towels, garbage can, extra garbage bags, broom, and in winter, scraper for safe and clean operation of buses. Hearing aids: $1,000 per person every 60 months, including replacement, repairs, but not batteries.
