Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2019, to March 31, 2022. Signed on Aug. 10, 2018.

Wage adjustments:

Effective April 1, 2019: 2%

Effective April 1, 2020: 2%

Effective April 1, 2021: 2%

Shift premium: $1.40 per hour for afternoon shift. $1.50 per hour for night shift. For employees who hold level 3 occupational first aid certificate: $59.16 per biweekly period. Effective April 1, 2020: $60.43 per biweekly period. Effective April 1, 2021: $61.55 per biweekly period. For employees who hold level 2 occupational first aid certificate: $45.90 per biweekly period. Effective April 1, 2020: $46.82 per biweekly period. Effective April 1, 2021: $47.74 per biweekly period.

Paid holidays: 12 days.

Vacations with pay: 15 days after 1 year, 16 days after 3 years, 17 days after 4 years, 19 days after 5 years, 20 days after 6 years, 22 days after 8 years, 23 days after 9 years, 24 days after 10 years, 25 days after 11 years, 26 days after 12 years, 27 days after 13 years, 28 days after 16 years, 29 days after 19 years, 31 days after 20 years, 32 days after 21 years, 33 days after 22 years, 34 days after 23 years, 35 days after 25 years. Employee may carry over maximum 10days of vacation leave per vacation year (carryover will not exceed 10 days at any time.)

Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after regularly scheduled hours, double time after 2 hours of overtime. Double time for all work on day of rest.

Meal allowance: $15.30 when employee works more than 2.5 hours of overtime immediately before or after completion of scheduled daily hours. Additional $15.30 for every subsequent 4 hours worked.

Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for Public Service Medical Plan.

Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 100%, 65% or 55% coverage under plans A, B or C. Lifetime maximum $3,500 per patient for orthodontic services.

Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums on base $100,000; employee pays 100% of premiums for any insurance over base minimum. As condition of employment, employees will enroll in basic plan.

Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (parent, stepparent, spouse, child, stepchild, grandchild, brother, sister, stepsibling, father-in-law, mother-in-law, any relative residing in employee’s household). 1 day to attend funeral for death of grandparents, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law. One-half day to attend funeral as pallbearer or mourner.

Seniority – recall rights: 1 year.

Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours of pay at overtime rates. Employee will be compensated from time they leave home to report for duty until time they arrive back upon proceeding directly to and from work.

Severance: 3 weeks’ pay for every year (1,827 hours at straight-time rate) of regular service seniority, maximum 12 months of current salary.

Mileage: $0.55 per kilometre.
