Renewal agreement: Effective April 3, 2022 to April 2, 2025. Signed on April 2, 2022.

Shift premium: $1 per hour for chairperson in bargaining unit. $4 per hour (tipping classification); $1 per hour (non-tipping classification) for hours worked (including shadowing) as crew trainer.

Paid holidays: 11 days, including Christmas Eve day, plus 3) paid personal holidays per year (April 1 to March 31). There will be no carryover of days beyond March 31.

Vacations with pay: 1 day for 200 paid hours to start, 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 20 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for all time worked after 8 hours in 1 day or 40 hours in 1 week.

Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $350 every 24 months (no deductible) (previously $250 every 24 months). Eye exams will be covered, maximum $100. Laser eye surgery: $700.

Weekly indemnity: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 66.67% of employee’s weekly earnings, maximum $1,400 weekly.

Sick leave: 1 half-day for each month of employment, maximum 5 days per year. Employees will be allowed to accumulate unused credits from year to year, maximum 20 days.

Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $80,000 (previously coverage of $60,000).

Pension: Employer will contribute 5% to DC plan. Employer will further match employee contribution, maximum 3%. Total maximum 8%.

Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse or common-law partner, parent, current stepparent, sibling, current stepsister, current stepbrother, child, current stepchild, child of spouse, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchild. 1 day for death of aunt, uncle, nephew or niece of employee or employee’s spouse.

Seniority – recall rights: 36 months after layoffs or absence due to illness, work-related accident, personal illness.

Call-in pay: 4 hours of pay at straight time rate or applicable overtime rate for all hours worked, whichever is greater.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 6 months for swiping infraction. 12 months for disciplinary actions.

Safety shoes: $120 to each seniority employee every 12 months when employee is required as condition of employment to wear CSA-approved footwear.

Mileage: $0.40 per kilometre.

Editor’s notes: Gift: Employees will be permitted to accept unsolicited gifts (any non-monetary token of appreciation given to employee by guest) from patrons, maximum value $250. Equipment allowance: $50 per contract year, payable second pay period in April of each year of contract, for each security officer. Retiree allowance: $300 per year of service for employees who retire at 65 (or older) and who have 10 years of service.
