Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2022 to Dec. 31, 2024. Ratified on Jan. 15, 2022. Signed on Jan. 1, 2022.
Wage adjustments:
Effective Jan. 1, 2022: $2 per hour
Effective Jan. 1, 2023: 3%
Effective Jan. 1, 2024: 3%
Shift premium: $0.60 per hour for all hours worked on shifts from 4 p.m. to 9:59 p.m. $0.85 per hour for all hours worked on shifts from 10 p.m. to 3:59 a.m. $40 to employees who perform work when employer designates number of Transport Canada D licenses or equivalent which permits aircraft towing. $10 per tow for employees performing infield tows (ground to apron or apron to apron), where radio frequencies are changed.
Paid holidays: 12 days, including truth and reconciliation day and 2 floating holidays. Civic Holiday is taken in Ontario in lieu of Remembrance Day; St-Jean Baptiste Day (National Day) will be taken on June 24 in lieu of Remembrance Day in Quebec.
Vacations with pay: 14 days after 1 year, 21 days after 5 years, 28 days after 11 years, 35 days after 20 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all time worked by employee outside scheduled shifts and consecutive with shift. Time may be banked, maximum accumulation of 80 hours.
Meal allowance: $10 for employee who works more than 4 hours of overtime before or after shift. Additional unpaid meal period at completion of each 8-hour period and $10 for employee who works 8 hours overtime before or after shift.
Sick leave: 4 hours per month of employment. Unused hours may be accumulated, maximum 240 hours.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law partner, children of employee or spouse (including adopted, foster-, ward children), sisters, brothers, parents, grandparents, stepparents, stepgrandparents of employee or spouse, relatives residing in employee’s household). Additional 3 for travel out of province or 5 days as requested for travel out of country.
Seniority – recall rights: 36 months after layoffs.
Call-in pay: Time and one-half if employee is requested to work on regular workday not consecutive with shift or to work on day off.
Probationary period: 6 months of service, excluding any period of absence of 7 days or more.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months for references to discipline.
Safety shoes: $100 after successful completion of basic training and $100 per year, on employee’s anniversary date, for approved footwear.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply all sanitary and safety clothing, including disposable latex gloves for aircraft cleaners to perform work, minimum 1 pair per flight and additional gloves when required to clean lavatories. Employees who clean lavatories will be provided with face shield, gloves (latex inner gloves and protective outer gloves) and extra rainsuit. Employer will provide $10 per month for dry-cleaning allowance for employees in passenger services category who have uniforms which require dry cleaning.
Tool allowance: $300 in November (no later than 15th of month) for employees in ground equipment and aircraft maintenance categories required to use own tools.
