Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2022 to Dec. 31, 2026. Signed on March 17, 2022.

Wage adjustments:

Effective 2022: 2%

Effective 2023: 2%

Effective 2024: 2%

Effective 2026: 2%

Shift premium: $1.47 per hour for hours worked outside 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Effective 2023: $1.50 per hour. Effective 2024: $1.53 per hour. Effective 2025: $1.56 per hour. Effective 2026: $1.60 per hour. $2.06 per hour (previously $1.87 per hour) for hours worked as lead-hand. Effective 2023: $2.10 per hour. Effective 2024: $2.14 per hour. Effective 2025: $2.18 per hour. Effective 2026: $2.23 per hour.

Paid holidays: 12 days.

Vacations with pay: 3 weeks after 1 year, 4 weeks after 5 years, 5 weeks after 10 years, 6 weeks after 15 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for first 2 hours of overtime (after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week); double time thereafter. Time may be banked and taken as time off in lieu, maximum 40 hours. Banked time must be used by pay period 25; all banked overtime will be paid out by pay period 26 each year.

Medical benefits: Employer will contribute minimum $1,000 per year (previously $600 per year) to wellness account.

Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Sick leave: 1.25 days for each month of employment, maximum 120 days.

LTD: Employee pays 100% of premiums.

Life insurance: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums for coverage of 2 times annual salary.

Pension: Employee will contribute 7%, employer will contribute 8%, 9%, 10%, 10.5% (based on contract years) to group pension plan.

Bereavement leave: Maximum 3 days for death of husband, wife, common-law spouse, child, father, mother, sister, brother, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, father-in-law, mother-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, stepparent, stepchild. Additional 2 days, with pay, to attend funeral that is more than 720 kilometres or 450 road miles from Lloydminster. One-half day to attend funeral as pallbearer or funeral for friend.

Seniority – recall rights: 365 days after continuous layoff.

Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours of pay at regular or overtime rates (time paid for call will be from time employee left residence until work is complete).

Probationary period: 3 months (minimum 520 basic hours) based on 40 hours per week. Employer may extend period, maximum 3 months.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years for records of discipline.

Safety shoes: $300 per year (previously $200 per year).

Tool allowance: $100 per month, payable biweekly, to heavy-duty technician, automotive technician, master electrician.

Editor’s notes: Long-service recognition: Employees are eligible for payment for continuous service: $200 after 5 years; $250 after 10 years; $300 after 15 years; $400 after 20 years; $500 after 25 years; $600 after 30 years; $700 after 35 years; $800 after 40 years. Employees will also receive retirement recognition of $20 for each year, maximum $500. Standby duty: Monday to Friday 5 p.m. to 8 a.m. inclusive: $27.50 rising 4 steps, 1 each year, to $29.77; Saturday to Sunday 8 a.m. to 8 a.m.: $49.50 rising 4 steps, 1 each year, to $53.58. Statutory holidays: $60.50 rising 4 steps, 1 each year, to $65.49. Retirement: On reaching retirement, employee will receive lump sum equivalent to 50% of accumulated sickness and injury benefits.
