Renewal agreement: Effective April 17, 2021 to April 17, 2024. Signed on April 17, 2021.
Shift premium: $0.50 per hour for afternoon, night shifts. $1 per hour for work training that encompasses setup, lock-out, forklift, scissor lift, any other training deemed approved by employer and union.
Paid holidays: 14 days, including Friday before Labour Day and Christmas Shutdown (5 days).
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 12 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 20 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for any work performed after 8 hours in 1 day or 40 hours in 1 week and for all work performed on Saturday. Double time for all work performed on Sunday, except hour of work for 11 p.m. start time on Sunday night will not be double time. Time may be banked, maximum 100 hours from Dec. 1 to Nov. 30 as time off or deferred cash. Employees will cash in any accumulated or deferred cash lieu days if time is not taken by Nov. 30 each year.
Medical benefits: Employer will pay 100% of premiums.
Dental: Employer will pay 100% of premiums. Coverage of maximum $2000 per calendar year per individual covered, of basic 80% dental plan providing routine treatment coverage for employees and dependents; 100% for employees and family for preventive and maintenance care.
Vision: Coverage of $330 on rolling 24-month schedule. $2,000 once per lifetime for laser eye surgery. $75 yearly for children 16 and younger; every 24 months for employees and spouse and children older than 16 for eye exams.
Paramedical: Maximum $2,500 per year combined for massage and chiropractor limited to $500 each. Paramedical practitioners include chiropractic, osteopath, podiatrist/chiropodist, massage therapist, homeopath, naturopath, speech therapist, physiotherapist, psychologist, reflexologist, ortho-therapist, acupuncturist, audiologist, occupational therapist, dietician, aqua therapy.
LTD: Employee will pay 100% of premiums.
AD&D: Employer will pay 100% of premiums.
Life insurance: Employer will pay 100% of premiums.
Pension: Employer will contribute 50% of employee’s contribution, maximum 2% of straight-time earnings into voluntary RRSP.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of current spouse, child, stepchild, brother, sister, parent. 3 days for death of stepparent, current spouse’s parent, half-brother, stepbrother, half-sister, grandfather, grandchild, stepchild, brother, sister, stepsister, grandmother. 1 day for death of current spouse’s brother, son-in-law, current spouse’s sister, daughter-in-law, brother’s current spouse, current spouse’s grandfather, sister’s current spouse, current spouse’s grandmother, aunt, uncle.
Seniority – recall rights: 90 days for employee promoted or transferred to excluded position outside bargaining unit; 12 consecutive months or length of seniority, maximum 36 months, whichever is greater, after layoff.
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours of work if work is available; if work is not available, employee will be paid 4 hours of pay at applicable overtime rate.
Probationary period: 60 days worked or 480 hours worked, whichever comes first, within 12-month period.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months for disciplinary actions.
Safety shoes: $170 each per year for shoe/insoles and static discharge.
Mileage: $0.45 per kilometre for voluntary use of personal vehicle on employer business.
