Renewal agreement: Effective June 1, 2021 to May 31, 2023. Signed on June 1, 2021.
Shift premium: $2 per hour for chief steward; $1 per hour for all other stewards.
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Vacations with pay: All employees will receive 6% of regular straight time hour earnings in vacation pay. Employer will consider vacations at times requested considering business requirements.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked after 8 straight-time hours per day and 40 straight-time hours per week.
Medical benefits: CLAC Health and Welfare Trust Fund.
Pension: CLAC Group Retirement Savings Plan and CLAC Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of spouse, employee’s adult interdependent partner, child, legal or adult dependent, father, mother, parents-in-law, legal guardian, brother, sister.
Probationary period: 2 months.
Uniforms/clothing: All employees will wear CSA-approved safety hats to be made available by employer. Employer will provide gloves to employee and replacements as needed. Welders’ helpers will receive welder’s gloves as needed. Employer will furnish employees with safety equipment (including safety glasses and fire-retardant coveralls) and raingear when required.
Mileage: $0.55 per kilometre traveled, minimum 300 kilometres paid to employee. Employees whose classification requires use of own vehicle will be paid $0.80 per kilometre, minimum 300 kilometres paid to employee.
