Renewal agreement: Effective July 1, 2023 to Feb. 28, 2026. Signed on July 1, 2023.

Shift premium: 5% for lead-hand. 10% over journeyperson classification base rate for foreperson. $3 per hour for all hours worked when 50% or more of scheduled shift hours fall between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Paid holidays: 11 days.

Vacations with pay: Employer will consider vacations at times requested considering business requirements. All employees employed in fabrication will be entitled to receive vacation pay of 5% for all hours worked; 6% after 5 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked after scheduled workday and weekly hours.

Meal allowance: Additional paid time meal period of 1 half-hour and hot meal, provided by employer, when employees are on site beyond 12 hours in 1 day.

Medical benefits: Employer will contribute $2.18 per hour to CLAC Health and Welfare Trust Fund.

Dental: Coverage of 100%, maximum $2,000 per person per year for basic services; 50%, maximum $2,000 per person per year for major services; 50%, maximum $3,000 lifetime maximum per child younger than 19 for orthodontic.

Paramedical: $50 per visit for massage therapy.

AD&D: Coverage of $100,000.

Life insurance: Coverage of $100,000.

Pension: Employer will contribute to CLAC group RSP. Employer will contribute additional 1% after 5 years of service; additional 1% to RSP after 8 years of service; additional 1% after 10 years of service. Employees will also participate in DC CLAC pension plan.

Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of spouse, common-law spouse, stepchild, stepparent, stepsibling, aunt, uncle, pregnancy loss (as defined in Alberta Employment Standards Code), mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandparent, grandchild.

Probationary period: 90 calendar days.

Safety shoes: All employees will wear CSA-approved (with minimum 6 inch uppers) safety boots, provided by employee. Employer will reimburse employees for safety boots (or custom ear plugs), maximum $250 (previously maximum $225).

Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply employees with safety-related equipment including safety hats, gloves, non-prescription safety glasses, raingear (excluding CSA safety rain boots).
