Renewal agreement: Effective July 23, 2023 to June 30, 2026. Signed on Aug. 16, 2023.

Wage adjustments:

Effective 2023: 6%

Effective 2024: 3%

Effective 2025: 3%

Paid holidays: 12 days.

Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 3 years, 4 weeks after 8 years, 5 weeks after 15 years, 6 weeks after 20 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for work after 9 hours per day or 45 hours per week. Time and one-half for work on Saturday or Sunday.

Medical benefits: Prairie Teamsters Health and Welfare Plan.

Pension: Employer will contribute $5.80 per hour to Teamsters Prairie Provinces Pension Plan.

Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, mother, father, sons, daughters, sisters, stepsons, stepdaughters, brothers, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandfather, grandmother, grandchild, brother-in-law, sister-in-law. Stepfather or stepmother will be recognized provided stepfather or stepmother had status of employee’s father or mother plus any others reference in Alberta Employment Standards Code).

Seniority – recall rights: 180 calendar days after layoff.

Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours of pay at overtime rate.

Probationary period: 90 days.

Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide PPE including coveralls, hard hat, non-prescription safety glasses, work gloves. On job sites where specialty safety equipment is required, employer will provide such PPE, such as safety harness, fire-retardant coveralls. Employer will also provide employees with $300 per year for safety wear.

Lead-hand/senior trailer operator/SPMT: $41.86 rising 2 steps to $44.43

Heavy truck driver: $41.27 rising 2 steps to $43.80

Light truck driver: $38.44 rising 2 steps to $40.80

Picker truck journeyperson: $41.27 rising 2 steps to $43.80

Picker truck apprentice: $35.11 rising 2 steps to $37.26

Rigger level 3: $29.67 rising 2 steps to $31.17

Rigger level 2: $27.02 rising 2 steps to $28.39

Rigger level 1: $24.08 rising 2 steps to $25.30

Training/wash/yard rate: $31.80 rising 2 steps to $33.41

Editor’s notes: Personal leaves: 5 days off, without pay, per year. Subsistence allowance: $195 per night (previously $150 per night) for each employee who is required to remain away from place of domicile as option 1. If camp facilities are provided, employee will not receive subsistence pay and room and board will be supplied at no cost as option 2. $70-per-day meal allowance (previously $65 per day) and room as option 3.
