Renewal agreement: Effective May 1, 2019 to April 30, 2022. Ratified in January 2020. Signed on May 1, 2020.

Wage adjustments:

Effective May 1, 2019: 1%

Effective May 1, 2020: 1%

Effective May 1, 2021: 1%

Paid holidays: 11 days.

Bereavement leave: 5 consecutive paid days for death of spouse, parent, stepparent, child, stepchild, grandparent, stepgrandparent, grandchild, stepgrandchild, foster-parent, foster-child, sibling, dependent relative. 1 paid day for death of aunt, uncle, niece, nephew.

Pension: Employee contribution of 2% will be matched by employer into structured group RRSP.

Editor’s notes: Academic freedom: Members have right to acquire and pursue knowledge through research and study and to disseminate it. Members have right to free expression of their views on subject areas. Learned societies and professional organizations and associations: Members have right to participate in work of learned societies and professional organizations and associations. Right of first refusal: Part-time members achieve right of first refusal if they have taught course minimum of 3 times within 72 months and have served 36 months from initial appointment. Intellectual property: Members own all intellectual property they develop. Employer may retain ownership of intellectual property from work initiatives specifically commissioned by employer. Professional development fund: $15,000 per year is available to all employees. Each employee may access maximum $750 per year for professional development conferences or activities. ($1,500 if employee is presenting).
