Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2024. Signed on June 27, 2022.
Shift premium: $136.25 per day (previously $118.75 per day) for drivers assigned to train new drivers. $1.50 per hour for charge hands. $269.33 per day (previously $237.50 per day) for owner- operators assigned to train new drivers that are not own owner- operator drivers.
Paid holidays: 12 days including National Day of Truth and Reconciliation. $100 per day for work on Christmas Day, New Years Day, Canada Day, if driver works on one of these days.
Vacations with pay: 4% to start, 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 3 years, 4 weeks or % after 10 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 18 years.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Employer pays 100% of cost of BC Medical Plan for drivers.
Sick leave: Maximum 10 days per year.
Pension: After 1 year of service, employer will match employee contributions to RSP. $150 per month to start; $200 per month after 6 years; $250 per month after 11 years; $300 per month after 16 years.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (parent, grandparents, sister, brother, spouse, child, parent-in-law, stepparent, stepparent-in-law, stepchild). 5 days if 1-way distance to travel to service is greater than 800 kilometres.
Seniority – recall rights: 2 months after layoffs to start; 12 months after 1 year of service. 18 months for employees who are absent due to job-related sickness or injury. 12 months for truck that has not worked.
Probationary period: 90 calendar days.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months for letters of discipline.
Safety shoes: $150 per year for CSA-approved safety boots.

Editor’s notes: Overnight stays: 10 hours of pay for each 24-hour period of delay, plus $17 per meal, if driver must stay out of town overnight. License tests: Employer will compensate all drivers who need medical exams for licensing requirements. Employer will pay for 50%, maximum $100 for all drivers who have 5 years of service. Training costs: Employer will pay $30 per orientation after 2 years of service for required training for driver.
