Renewal agreement: Effective Feb. 1, 2022 to Jan. 31, 2025. Signed on June 9, 2022.

Wage adjustments:

Effective year 1 (date of ratification): 3.5%

Effective Feb. 1, 2023: 3%

Effective Feb. 1, 2024: 3%

Shift premium: $3.80 per hour for all scheduled shifts that include complete midnight hour (12:01 a.m. through to 1 a.m.). 10% for all hours worked as relief supervisor. $1,300 (paid out in equal amounts on each pay) for employees who have successfully passed compressor operator certification examination and who hold and maintain certification or hold and maintain fourth-class power engineering certification. $3,250 (paid out in equal amounts on each pay) for employees in maintenance department who hold certification in 2 of 4 trades recognized by employer.

Paid holidays: 12 days, including National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Vacations with pay: 120 hours to start, 160 hours after 9 years, 200 hours after 18 years, 240 hours after 24 years.

Overtime: Double time for all hours worked outside employee’s normal schedule.

Bereavement leave: 3 working days for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law spouse, natural children, adopted children, stepchildren, foster-children, grandchildren, sister, sister-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, mother, mother-in-law, father, father-in-law, stepparent, grandmother, grandfather, grandmother-in-law, grandfather-in-law).

Seniority – recall rights: 9 months or length of employee’s seniority, whichever comes first, after layoff.

Call-in pay: Greater of actual time worked (including travel time) at overtime rate or 2 hours at overtime rate.

Probationary period: 1,040 hours worked (exclusive of overtime).

Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months for disciplinary letters; 30 months for suspensions.

Safety shoes: Maximum $300 per calendar year for CSA-approved safety footwear.

Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide employees with fire-retardant coveralls and other safety workwear as required.

Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after 3% increase):

First tech: $52.39 rising 1 step to $53.96

Second tech: $48.14 rising 1 step to $49.58

Third tech: $44.15 rising 1 step to $45.47

Fourth tech: $40.15 rising 1 step to $41.35

Fifth tech: $36.16 rising 1 step to $37.24

Sixth tech: $32.55 rising 1 step to $33.53

Craftsperson first: $58.21 rising 1 step to $59.96

Craftsperson second: $50.63 rising 1 step to $52.15

Craftsperson third: $45.82 rising 1 step to $47.19

Craftsperson fourth: $41.30 rising 1 step to $42.54

Craftsperson fifth: $37.07 rising 1 step to $38.18

Craftsperson sixth: $33.36 rising 1 step to $34.36

Editor’s notes: Paid education leave: Employer will remit $0.05 for each full-time employee’s regular hours of work to paid education leave. Shift workers: 12 hours of straight-time pay, paid on first pay day in March for workers who are responsible for shift relief.
