Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 18, 2023 to June 30, 2025. Signed on Jan. 18, 2023.
Shift premium: $0.25 per hour for all hours worked between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. $1 per hour (previously $0.50 per hour) for employee designed as trainer for all hours worked training new employee.
Paid holidays: 11 days, including National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
Vacations with pay: 1 day per month of service, maximum 10 days, to start, 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 10 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked (actively or standing by) after 8 hours in 1 day or after end of scheduled shift of greater duration than 8 hours or 40 regularly scheduled hours of work per week.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Sick leave: 5 days per year, 3 of which will be paid to employees who have completed 3 months of employment. There will be no carry-over of sick days.
Bereavement leave: 5 working days (if employee has completed 3 months of employment, first 3 days are paid) for death in immediate family (parent, legal guardian, spouse, common-law spouse, child, stepchild, brother, sister, parent, legal guardian of spouse, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandparents or grandchildren of employee and spouse).
Seniority – recall rights: 24 months after layoffs.
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours at straight-time for first 4 hours worked and at time and one-half thereafter.
Probationary period: First 3 calendar months (excluding medical leave).
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months for any disciplinary notice.
Severance: Employee who is laid off for longer than 24 months can elect subject to length of service to abandon recall rights and receive severance pay in accordance with Canada Labour Code.
Safety shoes: $150 per year (previously $100 per year), including taxes, for safety footwear.
