Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2022 to Dec. 31, 2025. Signed on Jan. 1, 2022.

Wage adjustments:

Effective Sept. 1, 2022: 2.7%

Effective Jan. 1, 2023: 3%

Effective Jan. 1, 2024: 3%

Effective Jan. 1, 2025: 2%

Shift premium: Minimum 2 hours or for actual time worked, whichever is greater, when performing work of higher classification. $0.75 per hour for hours worked on afternoon shift. $1 per hour for hours worked on graveyard shift. $1 per hour for hours worked on Saturday. $3.50 per hour for all hours worked when conducting training for employee appointed as trainer. $1 per hour worked for any certified or uncertified mechanic who possesses B.C. inspection certificate.

Paid holidays: 14 days, including National Truth and Reconciliation Day, floating holiday.

Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 4 years, 4 weeks after 9 years, 5 weeks after 16 years, 6 weeks after 26 years.

Overtime: time and one-half for first 2 hours worked after shift; double time for all hours worked thereafter. Double time for work performed on Sunday and holidays. Employee can bank maximum of 280 hours (straight-time equivalent).

Meal allowance: $18 for employees who work beyond eleventh hour of shift.

Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Pension: Employer contributes $5 per hour for hours to union pension plan.

Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, same-sex spouse, mother, father, stepparents, son, daughter, stepchildren, brother, sister, grandparents, grandchildren, parents-in-law). Employee may be granted maximum additional 7 calendar days, unpaid, which will be contiguous with paid leave.

Seniority – recall rights: 12 months after layoffs. 4 years when employee is off work due to any non-occupational medically documented injury.

Call-in pay: Double time for all hours worked.

Probationary period: 90 calendar days.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years for disciplinary documents; .

Safety shoes: $250 per year for employees required to wear CSA-approved safety related Equipment.

Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply, maintain, launder coveralls and proved gloves to all employees.

Tool allowance: $650 per year for mechanics, welders, apprentices.

Mechanic foreperson: $48.15 rising 2 steps to $50.58

Millwright foreperson: $48.15 rising 2 steps to $50.58

Electrician certified: $46.92 rising 2 steps to $49.30

Millwright TQ: $46.92 rising 2 steps to $49.30

Mechanic TO: $46.92 rising 2 steps to $49.30

Millwright uncertified: $45.32 rising 2 steps to $47.61

Welder TO: $44.96 rising 2 steps to $47.24

Mechanic uncertified: $44.24 rising 2 steps to $46.48

Welder uncertified: $43.52 rising 2 steps to $45.73

Trades helper: $36.31 rising 2 steps to $38.15

Apprentice

First 6 months: 60% of mechanic rate

Second 6 months: 70% of mechanic rate

Third 6 months: 80% of mechanic rate

Fourth 6 months: 80% of mechanic rate

Fifth 6 months: 85% of mechanic rate

Sixth 6 months: 90% of mechanic rate

Seventh 6 months: 95% of mechanic rate

Eighth 6 months: 95% of mechanic rate
