Renewal agreement: Effective Oct. 1, 2019 to Sept. 30, 2024. Ratified in September 2019. Signed on Oct. 1, 2019.

Wage adjustments:

Effective Oct. 1, 2019: 2%

Effective Oct. 1, 2020: 2%

Effective Oct. 1, 2021: 2%

Effective Oct. 1, 2022: 2.3%

Effective Oct. 1, 2023: 3%

Shift premium: $1 per hour for shift C (4 p.m. to 12:05 a.m./2:05 a.m.). $2.50 per hour for shift A (midnight to 7:35 a.m.). Lead-hands/under-foreman receive $1 per hour over highest-paid employee under their jurisdiction.

Paid holidays: 12 1/2 days.

Vacations with pay: 1 day for each month of continuous service up to 10 days to start, 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 4 years, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 20 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for all authorized work in excess of employee’s regular shift during 24-hour period around shift; first 4 hours on Saturdays. Double time for hours worked on Saturdays in excess of 4 hours and all hours worked on Sundays, statutory holidays, plant holidays.

Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for health plan.

Dental: Dental plan partially covered by employer.

Vision: $350 per 24-month period for lenses, frames, contact lenses, laser eye surgery.

STD: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage up to 26 weeks.

LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums for employees with at least 2 years of seniority.

AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums for group plan.

Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for group plan.

Pension: Employer contributions to IAM Labour Management Pension Fund (DB pension plan frozen; DC pension plan closed effective Jan. 1, 2020).

Seniority – recall rights: 24 months. For employees hired after Feb. 28, 1999, lesser of 24 months or length of seniority.

Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours pay at appropriate overtime rate if called in.

Probationary period: 680 hours worked (previously 65 days).

Bereavement leave: 3 paid days for death of spouse, parent, foster-parent, parent-in-law, child, sibling, common-law spouse, common-law child, grandchild, stepsibling, stepparent, sibling-in-law. 1 paid day for death of grandparent.

Safety shoes: $805 per employee over life of collective agreement. $1,125 for painters, maintenance, maintenance HVAC, facilities classifications.

Uniforms/clothing: Employer will pay cost of prescription safety glasses through voucher system.

Machinist/tool setter/maintenance A/maintenance HVAC: $32.67/ $39.73, rising 4 steps to $35.80/$43.53

Honing, shot peen operator: $29.57/$34.58 rising 4 steps to $32.40/$37.89
HVOF, shot peen operator/OE fitter/R&O fitter: $28.58/$35.59 rising 4 steps to $31.32/$38.99

Metal finisher/bushing, sealant operator: $24.60/$30.48 rising 4 steps to $26.96/$33.40

Tool stores/junior inspector/junior fitter/stores receiver/material handler: $23.82/$26.90 rising 4 steps to $26.10/$29.47

Inspector/flaw detection: $30.98/$37.77 rising 4 steps to $33.94/$41.39

Inspector shipping, receiving: $28.18/$33.33 rising 4 steps to $30.88/$36.52

Painter: $28.18/$33.56 rising 4 steps to $30.88/$36.77

Facility maintenance: $28.50/$33.56 rising 4 steps to $31.23/$36.77

Editor’s notes: Temporary transfers: Not more than 5 full or partial working days, maximum 40 per year. $2.50 per hour above normal rate of pay for each full or partial hour worked. Workdays: Employer and union may agree to alter hours of shift C to 4 10-hour shifts based on employee request.
