Renewal agreement: Effective Sept. 9, 2018 to Sept. 3, 2022. Ratified on Sept. 30, 2019. Signed on Sept. 30, 2019.
Shift premium: $0.50 per hour for all hours to employee appointed as person-in-charge on shift (for more than 2 hours) when fuel-station operator or team coordinator is not on shift. $0.50 per hour for employee who relieves gas bar operator for greater than 3 days in 1 week or more; $2 per hour for employee who relieves gas bar operator for 3 weeks or more (premium will take effect at beginning of third week).
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 5 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 10 hours on 1 shift or 40 hours in 1 week.
Medical benefits: Employer will contribute $0.20 per hour into Safeway UFCW Part-Time Health and Welfare Trust Fund.
Dental: Employer will contribute $0.43 per hour for each regular hour worked or paid, paid vacations, general holidays into United Food and Commercial Workers dental care plan.
Pension: Employee who has worked 3,001 hours will be eligible for maximum 1.5% employer-matched contribution into RRSP.
Bereavement leave: Employee will be granted leave of absence without pay, with consideration given to travel time to attend funeral for death in immediate family (spouse, parent, stepparent, child, stepchild, brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandmother, grandmother-in-law, grandfather, grandfather-in-law, grandchildren, any relative living in household of employee).
Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours’ pay at regular rate.
Probationary period: 240 hours worked.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide special clothing such as raincoats, parkas, gloves, snow pants in appropriate sizes. Employer will provide 2 shirts (employees hired after Dec. 13, 2015) and will provide 1 replacement shirt after 1 year of employment and each subsequent year upon request by employee.

Signing bonus: All active employees as of ratification (Sept. 30, 2019) will receive: $1,000 for employees at top rate; $700 for employees averaging 32 hrs+ worked per week; $500 for employees averaging 24 to 31.99 hours worked per week; $300 for employees averaging between 0 to 23.99 hours worked per week.
Lump sum (year 2 effective Sept. 6, 2020): All active employees will receive: $500 for employees at top rate; $350 for employees averaging 32 hrs+ worked per week; $250 for employees averaging 24 to 31.99 hours worked per week; $150 for employees averaging between 0 to 23.99 hours worked per week.
Lump sum (year 3 effective Sept. 5, 2021): All active employees will receive: $600 for employees at top rate; $450 for employees averaging 32 hrs+ worked per week; $375 for employees averaging 24 to 31.99 hours worked per week; $275 for employees averaging between 0 to 23.99 hours worked per week.
