Renewal agreement: Effective Oct. 15, 2022 to Oct. 14, 2025. Signed on Oct. 15, 2022.
Wage adjustments:
Effective year 1: 2%
Effective year 2: 2.5%
Shift premium: $0.40 per hour for all hours worked between 4 p.m. and 11:59 p.m. $0.50 per hour for all hours worked between 12:01 a.m. and 7:59 a.m. $35 per tow (Nav-Can assisted) for D AVOP qualified employees who perform tows. $5 per flight will be paid to lead hand signing off BA and Cathay flights.
Paid holidays: 10 days.
Vacations with pay: 1 day per month, maximum 10 days, to start, 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 10 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for work after 8 hours in 1 day or for scheduled shift greater than 8 hours, any hours worked in excess of scheduled shift or hours worked after 40 hours in workweek.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 85% of premiums, employees pays 15% of premiums.
Sick leave: 6 sick days per year. If employee is not sick during calendar year, all unused days will be paid out on first pay period of following year.
LTD: Employee pays 100% of premiums.
AD&D: Employee pays 100% of premiums.
Life insurance: Employee pays 100% of premiums.
Pension: Teamsters’ DC pension plan. Employer will contribute $0.45 per hour worked to start; $0.60 per hour worked after 5 years of service; $0.80 per hour (previously $0.70 per hour) worked after 10 years of service; $1 per hour (previously $0.90 per hour) worked after 15 years of service; $1.10 per hour worked after 25 years of service.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse, common law spouse, same-sex partner, child, stepchild, grandchild, sibling, parent, stepparent, grandparent of employee. 3 days for death of aunt, uncle, parent-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law of employee. 1 day of unpaid leave for death of any other relative or close friend to attend funeral. If death in family is outside Canada or significant distance away, employee may have additional 7 days of absence, without pay, to attend funeral.
Seniority – recall rights: 24 months after layoff; 90 calendar days when employee is transferred or promoted to position outside bargaining unit.
Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours pay at regular hourly rate or appropriate overtime rate, whichever is applicable, if employee is recalled to work extra time on same day.
Probationary period: 65 days (excluding any days while on modified/light duties).
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months for any disciplinary action or decision.
Severance: 3 days’ pay for every year of service after 10 years of service; 5 days after 15 years of service.
Safety shoes: Employees required to work airside or in GSE, must wear CSA-approved footwear while on shift. $150, payable on last pay period in April, each year for CSA-approved sturdy work boots with heel for each employee in GSE maintenance, ground services, cabin services, de-icing and ramp specialist, ZDC occupational groups.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide summer, winter, waterproof gloves, according to season, for each employee. All employees will be provided with 1 pair of knee pads once per year for employees who request it.
Tool allowance: $1,000 per year for employees in mechanic classification excluding mechanic helpers that will be paid on following pay cycle.
