Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2025. Signed on Aug. 8, 2022.
Wage adjustments:

Paid holidays: 14 days, including National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
Vacations with pay: 15 days or 120 hours to start, 20 days or 160 hours after 5 years, 25 days or 180 hours after 10 years. Employees may carry over 5 days of their vacation leave but must use such leave by end of first quarter of following fiscal year (June 30). If leave is not used by June 30, unused vacation pay will be paid out on first subsequent pay period.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked after 16 straight-time hours over averaging period of 4 consecutive workweeks. Overtime hours worked maybe paid out or be banked and taken as time off in-lieu. Any unused banked time off in-lieu will be paid out on last payday in March of each year.
Medical benefits: After 90 days of employment, employees will participate in employer’s Community Services Benefits Trust (CSBT) plan.
Paramedical: Coverage of massages, maximum $1,000 per year; chiropractic services, maximum $750 per year; maximum $750 per year for psychologist/social worker services.
Weekly indemnity: Employee pays 100% of premiums.
AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Pension: Regular employees who have completed 1 year of service will receive RRSP contribution of $1,500 per year (previously $1,200 per year) by employer. Employee may elect to match that contribution. Employees will be able to contribute maximum $2,700 per year (previously $2,400 per year) to RRSP matching program, employer will match employee contributions, maximum $2,700 per year.
Bereavement leave: 4 days for death of family member, (mother, father, sister, brother, stepfather, stepmother, stepsibling, foster-parent, grandparent, grandchild, aunt, uncle, spouse, son, daughter, stepchild, ward, mother-in-law, father-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, any relative residing in employee’s household).
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months after layoff.
Call-in pay: Greater of compensation at applicable overtime rate for any time worked, plus in addition to any overtime compensation, 2 hours of pay at straight-time or compensation equivalent to 4 hours pay at straight-time rate.
Probationary period: Minimum period of 450 straight-time hours worked or 6 months, whichever comes first.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide all protective clothing and equipment as required.

Editor’s notes: Personal days: Each regular employee will receive credit of 10 days of personal leave per year. Employee may bank any unused leave, maximum 20 days accumulated. Days beyond 20-day maximum not used at end of year will be forfeited. Traditional leave: Employee who has self-identified as Indigenous (First Peoples of Canada, Indian, Inuit, Metis) will be entitled to leave, without pay, of 5 working days in every year to engage in traditional practices such as hunting, fishing and harvesting and other activities to maintain culture through traditional practices. Yukon bonus: $2,400 (previously $2,242) on first anniversary of employment and on each anniversary date thereafter.
