Renewal agreement: Effective Aug. 1, 2018 to Aug. 1, 2021. Signed on Jan. 23, 2019.
Shift premium: $0.25 per hour for second shift. $0.50 per hour for third shift. $1.50 per hour (previously $1.40 per hour) for vessel unloading.
Paid holidays: 11 days, plus 1 personal holiday (after 12 months of service).
Vacations with pay: One day for each full month of service, maximum 10 days, or 4% to start, 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 6 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 11 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 19 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. Time and one-half for employee who works continuously beyond regularly scheduled shift and continues working into next day; on scheduled day off; into new workweek. Double time for work on employee’s seventh consecutive day of work in workweek provided employee has worked 40 straight-time hours during workweek and 8 hours on sixth consecutive weekday.
Bereavement leave: Maximum 5 days for death in immediate family (spouse, son, daughter, brother, sister, mother, father, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandchildren, stepson, stepdaughter, stepbrother, stepsister, stepmother, stepfather, grandparents). Maximum 3 days for death of brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandchildren, stepbrother, stepsister, stepmother, stepfather, grandparents. Maximum 1 day for death of son-in-law, daughter-in law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, provided employee attends funeral. Pay will not exceed maximum 8 straight-time hours per day.
Seniority – recall rights: 24 consecutive months for layoff or for any other reason.
Call-in pay: Paid at applicable hourly rate for unscheduled hours worked or 4 hours of pay at straight-time rate, whichever is greater. Employee called in to start in advance of regular starting time and who continues to work on into scheduled shift, will not qualify for 4-hour guarantee.
Probationary period: 90 working days.
