Renewal agreement: Effective Aug. 1, 2020 to Aug. 1, 2025. Signed on Aug. 7, 2020.
Shift premium: Double-time for work performed on seventh consecutive day of work in workweek provided employee has worked 40 straight-time hours during workweek. $0.50 per hour for lead-person. $1 per hour for hourly-paid employee to act as working relief supervisor in addition to regular duties. $0.80 per hour (previously $0.70 per hour) for second shift. $0.90 per hour (previously $0.70 per hour) for third shift. $0.90 per hour if employee is scheduled and working on either of 2 rotating 12-hour shifts.
Paid holidays: 12 days, including December 24 and 1 personal holiday.
Vacations with pay: 1 days per month, maximum 10 days, to start, 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 6 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 11 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 19 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked in excess of 40 straight-time hours in 1 workweek or 8 straight-time hours in 1 workday.
Bereavement leave: Maximum 5 days (3 days paid; 2 days unpaid) to attend funeral, life celebration or similar event in lieu of funeral for death in immediate family (spouse, son, daughter, brother, sister, mother, father, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandchildren, stepson, stepdaughter, stepbrother, stepsister, stepmother, stepfather, grandparents). 1 day for death of brother-in-law, sister-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law.
Seniority – recall rights: 24 consecutive months, subject to provisions of applicable federal laws of Canada, for employees on layoff or off work for any other reason.
Call-in pay: Paid at applicable hourly rate for unscheduled hours worked or 4 hours’ pay at straight-time hourly rate, whichever is greater (employee called in to start in advance of regular starting time and who continues to work on into scheduled shift, will not qualify for 4-hour guarantee).
Probationary period: 120 working days.
