Renewal agreement: Effective Aug. 1, 2023 to July 31, 2027. Signed on Aug. 1, 2023.

Wage adjustments:

Effective Aug. 1, 2023: 2.75%

Effective Aug. 1, 2024: 2.75%

Effective Aug. 1, 2025: 2.75%

Shift premium: 10% for employees working second shift.

Paid holidays: 11 days.

Vacations with pay: 1 days per month, maximum 10 days, to start, 15 days after 2 years, 20 days after 8 years, 25 days after 20 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked after 8 regular straight-time hours per day and 44 regular straight-time hours per week. Double time for work on Sunday.

Meal allowance: Additional 1 half-hour unpaid meal period and 1 meal will be provided for employees who work beyond 12 hours in 1 day.

Sick leave: 2 days per year. 5 unpaid personal days per year for personal health or to meet family responsibilities.

Pension: Employer will contribute to registered pension plan for each employee: 2% core; 3% matching.

Bereavement leave: 5 days off for death of spouse (includes both married and unmarried couples, of same or opposite genders) parent, stepparent, foster-parent, child, stepchild, foster-child, grandparent, stepgrandparent, grandchild or stepgrandchild of employee or spouse, parent of employee’s spouse, sibling). 3 days off for death of sibling of employee’s spouse, spouse of employee’s child, cousin, sibling of employee’s parent, stepparent, foster-parent.

Seniority – recall rights: 6 months after layoffs.

Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours of pay.

Probationary period: 180 calendar days.

Safety shoes: All employees will wear CSA-approved safety boots supplied by employees. Employer will reimburse costs, $125 for every calendar year or $250 every 2 years.

Uniforms/clothing: All employees will wear CSA-approved safety hats supplied by employer. All employees will be provided with $175 per year for Allegion uniform refresh policy each Jan. 1.

Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after 8.5% increase):

0 to 6 months: $29.25 rising 3 steps to $31.73

7 to 12 months: $29.86 rising 3 steps to $32.39

1 year: $30.85 rising 3 steps to $33.47

2 years: $32.47 rising 3 steps to $35.22

3 years: $33.42 rising 3 steps to $36.25

4 years: $34 rising 3 steps to $36.88

5 years: $34.59 rising 3 steps to $37.52

10 years: $37.40 rising 3 steps to $40.57

15 years: $38.82 rising 3 steps to $42.11

Editor’s notes: On-call: $200 per week and $250 per week for general holiday weeks for being on call (1 week at time beginning on Friday at 4:30 p.m.). Overnight trips: Meal purchase maximums: $15 breakfast; $25 for lunch; $40 for dinner. Prescription safety eyewear: Employer will reimburse employee for prescription safety eyewear or laser eye surgery, maximum $100.
