Renewal agreement: Effective Aug. 1, 2019 to July 31, 2023. Ratified on July 19, 2019. Signed on Dec. 10, 2019.

Wage adjustments:

Effective Aug. 1, 2019: 1.5%

Effective Aug. 1, 2020: 1%

Effective Aug. 1, 2021: 1.25%

Effective Aug. 1, 2022: 2%

Shift premium: $0.75 per hour above warehouseman rate for shipper/receiver. $1 per hour above warehouseman rate for lead-hands. $0.75 per hour for employee working on afternoon shift (shift commencing after 1 p.m.). $1.50 per hour for employee working night shift (shift commencing after 10 p.m.).

Paid holidays: 11 days.

Vacations with pay: 1 day per month worked, maximum 10 days, to start, 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 3 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 20 years. Employees with 10 or more years of seniority will be able to carry over 1 week of vacation time to next year but carried over week must be used following vacation year or it will be deemed forfeited.

Overtime: Time and one-half for hours worked in excess of regular shift per day, Monday to Friday. Time and one-half for hours worked on sixth day in workweek; double time for all work on Sunday.

Medical benefits: Employer pays 85% of premiums, employee pays 15% of premiums (previously employer pays 55% of premiums, employee pays 45% of premiums) for Anixter Canada Employee Benefit Program.

Sick leave: 5 paid days per year as sick/family responsibility leave as defined by Alberta Employment Standard Code. Employee will receive payment (made at Christmas) for any unused days per year.

LTD: Employee pays 100% of premiums.

Pension: Employees are entitled to participate in company pension plan.

Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law spouse, mother, stepmother, father, stepfather, son, stepson, daughter, stepdaughter, brother, stepbrother, brother-in-law, sister, stepsister, sister-in-law, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandparents, grandchildren of employee). 1 additional day for funeral outside Alberta.

Seniority – recall rights: 12 months for layoffs; 9 months for employee who receives leave of absence to take position within company that is beyond sphere of bargaining unit; 1 year for employee who receives leave of absence to take position with union that is beyond sphere of bargaining unit.

Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours of work, at time and one-half.

Probationary period: 60 days worked.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months.

Safety shoes: Employer will provide $160 once per year for safety boots.

Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide uniforms, goggles, gloves to all employees as required which will be replaced due to normal wear and tear.

12 months: $23.10 rising 3 steps to $24.10

24 months: $23.75 rising 3 steps to $24.80
