Renewal agreement: Effective Feb. 24, 2023 to Aug. 31, 2025. Signed on Feb. 24, 2023.

Paid holidays: 12 days, including National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (will be day of learning, not paid holiday).

Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked after 8 in 1 day; double time for all hours worked after 12 per day. Time and one-half for all hours worked after 0 in 1 week; double time for all hours worked after 60 per week. Time may be banked but must be used within 6 months.

Meal allowance: $30 if it is impossible for employee to receive meal break, and each subsequent hour will be paid at double time until meal break is provided. If employee is already being paid at double time, due to having worked more than 12 hours in 1 day, then employee will be paid additional 1 hour at prevailing rate plus $30 meal allowance.

Medical benefits: Employer will remit 4.5% of gross earnings to union to administer plan for employee.

Sick leave: 10 days totalling 80 hours each year.

Pension: Employee, employer will contribute 5% of annual base salary into RRSP.

Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse, parent, father-in-law, mother-in-law, child, brother, sister, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, former guardian, ward, fiancée, any other relative who has been residing in same household. 2 additional days leave without pay when burial occurs outside province.

Probationary period: 12 40-hour weeks.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months for all letters on file.

Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide proper respiratory protection for employees, which includes appropriate ventilation and air flow, and respirators for painting, construction, metal work. Employees will use proper protection when required. $150 per year for dress blacks (black shirt with collar and long sleeves (free of graphics and logos), black trousers, black shoes and socks or of similar nature).

Arts commons head of department: $35 rising 2 steps to $36.77

Arts commons associate head of department: $33 rising 2 steps to $34.67

Casual alternate head: $31.50 rising 2 steps to $31.75

Casual running crew: $30 rising 2 steps to $30.75

Casual stagehand: $29 rising 2 steps to $30.75

Trainee: $24.75 rising 2 steps to $26

Editor’s notes: Flex days: Employees will receive maximum 4 flex days per year, maximum 1 per quarter (days cannot be carried over into next quarter or fiscal year and employees will not be paid for unused days). Lifestyle allowance: $300 per year.
