Renewal agreement: Effective Sept. 1, 2018 to Aug. 31, 2021. Ratified on June 11, 2019. Signed on Sept. 1, 2018.

Shift premium: $0.82 per hour for supervisory relief. $1.17 per hour for day, night shift premium. $1.05 per hour for 300 lines; $2.16 per hour for 400 lines.

Paid holidays: 12 days.

Vacations with pay: 1/12 of 3 weeks for each month of service to start, 3 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 3 years, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 15 years, 6 weeks after 20 years. Once every 2 vacation years, employee eligible for 3 or more weeks of vacation may postpone 1 week of vacation in order to take that week in following vacation year.

Overtime: Double time for work performed in excess of employee’s normal number of daily hours of work. Time may be banked, maximum 12 banked days (120 regular hours) per year. No banked time is to be taken between May 1 and Oct. 15 inclusive. Any banked time balances not scheduled to be taken by March 15 of each year will be paid out in last pay period of March.

Medical benefits: Employer pays 70% of premiums, employee pays 30% of premiums.

Dental: Employer pays 70% of premiums, employee pays 30% of premiums.

STD: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums.

LTD: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums.

AD&D: Employer pays 70% of premiums, employee pays 30% of premiums.

Life insurance: Employer pays 70% of premiums, employee pays 30% of premiums.

Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse, child (after being employed for 30 consecutive days). 3 days for death of mother, father, sister, brother, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandchild. 1 day for death of grandmother, grandfather, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law.

Seniority – recall rights: 12 months for layoffs or for transfer to position outside bargaining unit; 90 calendar days for employees who are promoted or transferred to position outside bargaining unit. Employees will not lose seniority during absence due to sickness or injury.

Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours of pay, except when unscheduled work forms continuous period with employee’s regularly scheduled working hours; employee will also receive 2 hours’ pay, except when unscheduled work forms continuous period with employee’s regularly scheduled working hours, in which case employee will receive 1 hour’s pay, as travelling allowance.

Probationary period: 6 consecutive months.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months for any formal discipline.

Severance: 2 weeks’ pay plus 2 weeks of pay for each year of service multiplied by employee’s regular rate (after 1 year of service with employer) for employees hired before Sept. 1, 2015. 2 weeks’ pay plus 1 week of pay for each year of service multiplied by employee’s regular rate (after 1 year of service with employer) for employees hired after Sept. 1, 2015.

Safety shoes: $235 plus GST, per year for permanent employees; $164 plus GST, for casual, probationary employees.

Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide required protective devices, wearing apparel, other equipment that is necessary to protect employee from injury.

Welder: $38.91 rising 2 steps to $40.44

Plant coordinator: $32.65 rising 2 steps to $33.93

Shift coordinator: $29.04 rising 2 steps to $30.18

Assistant shift coordinator: $24.63 rising 2 steps to $25.60

Operator 2: $22.84 rising 2 steps to $23.73

Operator 1: $21.70 rising 2 steps to $22.55

Packager 2: $19.22 rising 2 steps to $19.97

Packager 1: $18.26 rising 2 steps to $18.97

Casual: $18.06 rising 2 steps to $18.77
