Shift premium: 40¢ per hour for mechanics with approved F4 welder certificate, 45¢ per hour for qualified F4 welder certificate, 25¢ per hour for approved F3 welder certificate, 35¢ per hour for qualified F3 welder certificate and 20¢ per hour for B welder certificate.
Paid holidays: 8 days. 3 floating holidays for employees with at least 1 year of continuous service.
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 4 years, 4 weeks after 9 years, 5 weeks after 17 years and 6 weeks after 25 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all time worked in excess of 9 hours per day or 45 hours per week.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 80% of medical premiums for all employees.
AD&D: $25,000 per eligible employee.
Life insurance: $25,000 per eligible employee.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for employee’s spouse, son, daughter, stepson or stepdaughter. 3 days for employee’s father, mother, brother, sister, father-in-law, mother-in-law, stepfather, stepmother, grandparent, son-in-law, daughter-in-law or grandchild.
Seniority – recall rights: 9 months to start, 1 year after 7 months and 2 years after 5 years.
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours at regular rate of pay.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 1 year.
Safety shoes: Employer contributes 20% toward the cost of safety boots. Employees reimbursed 15% toward all other safety equipment.
Mileage: 44¢ per km. 45¢ per km effective May 1, 2016. 46¢ per km effective May 1, 2017. 47¢ per km effective May 1, 2018.
