Renewal agreement: Effective July 2, 2023 to Jan. 31, 2026. Signed on July 2, 2023.

Shift premium: 6% for foreman; 15% for supervisor. $0.75 per hour for steward. Minimum 10% for any shift that starts between 5 p.m. and 5 a.m. or when 50% or more of hours in shift fall between 5 p.m. and 5 a.m. will be considered night shift.

Paid holidays: 11 days.

Vacations with pay: All employees will be entitled to receive 6% vacation pay for all hours worked, paid to employees on each pay period. Employer will consider vacations at times requested considering business requirements.

Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked after 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday, and 40 hours per week.

Meal allowance: Additional one half-hour paid meal period and 1 meal will be provided for employees who work beyond 12 hours in 1 day.

Medical benefits: CLAC Health and Welfare Trust Fund.

Dental: Coverage of 100%, maximum $2,000 per person per year for basic services. 50%, maximum $2,000 per person per year for major services. 50%, maximum $3,000 lifetime maximum per child younger than 19 for orthodontic.

Paramedical: $50 per visit for massage therapy.

AD&D: Coverage of $100,000.

Life insurance: Coverage of $100,000.

Pension: CLAC group RSP. Employee contributes 4%, employer contributes maximum 4%, after 4 months of service. Employee contributes 4%, employer contributes maximum 6%, after 10 years of service.

Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of spouse, common-law spouse, child, legal dependant, parents, parents-in-law, legal guardian, brother, brother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, grandparents, grandchildren.

Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours of pay at appropriate rate.

Probationary period: 90 calendar days.

Safety shoes: All employees will wear CSA-approved safety boots supplied by employee.

Uniforms/clothing: All employees will wear CSA-approved safety hats supplied by employer.

Mileage: $0.50 per kilometre.

Level 2 technician (RT2, UT2 or EC2)

1 or more certificates: $52.58

No certificates: $49.70

Level 1 technician (RT1, UT1 or EC1)

1 or more certificates: $42.76

No certificates: $40.16

Certified exposure device operator (CEDO): $34.09

NDT trainee: $23.41

Editor’s notes: Online orientation/onboarding: Employer will pay allowance for completing courses, maximum 4 hours multiplied by employee total package hourly rate and paid at unchargeable time rates. Standby time: 2 hours pay per day when employee is on standby. Employee on standby will be paid minimum 5 hours when they are called to work. Accommodation allowances: Living-out allowance will be paid at $135 per day when employee is required to be away from home and residing at another location, unless in camp or hotel provided by employer or client. When staying in client- or employer-supplied accommodation, employees will be paid $60 per day as meal allowance.
