Renewal agreement: Effective June 4, 2017, to June 3, 2021. Signed on Oct. 17, 2017.
Shift premium: $8.25 per hour (previously $8 per hour) for all hours worked on Sunday. $1 per hour for all hours worked between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. Monday to Saturday. 5% above highest classification for lead hand.
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 3 years, 4 weeks after 8 years, 5 weeks after 16 years.
Overtime: For 8-hour shifts: Time and one-half for all time worked after 8 hours per day, double time after 10 hours per day. For 12-hour shifts: Time and one-half for all time worked after 12 hours per day, double time after 13 hours per day. Time and one-half for all hours worked on scheduled day off, double time after 11 hours. May be banked, maximum 72 hours per year.
Meal allowance: Meal will be supplied (if available) or $15 will be paid after every 4 hours of overtime worked.
Medical benefits: Employer, employee share costs for Alberta Health Care. $600 per year for health-care spending account. May be carried over to following year, maximum $1,200 total.
Dental: 100% of Alberta dental reimbursement guide for class 1 services. 60% of Alberta dental reimbursement guide for class 2 services. $2,400 per year maximum for both class 1 and class 2 services. Effective June 4, 2018: $2,500 per year. Effective June 4, 2019: $2,600 per year. Effective June 4, 2020: $2,700 per year. Maximum lifetime orthodontics benefit coverage of $3,500 (previously $3,000) applies per insured dependent child younger than 19 on 50/50 basis.
Vision: $350 every 12-month period for dependent children younger than 18, every 24-month period for employee, spouse (previously $300). Maximum $120 every 24 month-period for 1 eye examination for employee, spouse.
Weekly indemnity: 66 2/3% of base rate times 40 hours, maximum $1,050 (based on 1-4-26 formula).
Life insurance: $90,000 coverage (previously $80,000).
Pension: Employee will contribute to group RRSP, employer will match biweekly contributions, maximum $191. Effective June 4, 2018: $206. Effective June 4, 2019: $221. Effective June 4, 2020: $236
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of spouse, child, parent, stepparent, brother, sister, grandparent, parent-in-law, son-in law, daughter-in-law, grandchild. Additional day for travel more than 300 kilometres away.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months.
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours’ pay at time and one-half.
Probationary period: 90 working days or 720 regular hours.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months.
Safety shoes: $250 per year for CSA-approved hard-toed safety boots. May be carried over to next year, maximum $250.

Editor’s notes: Training pay: Employees who attend training sessions during scheduled days off will be paid minimum 4 hours at employee's regular rate. Safety supplies: Employer will provide safety glasses, hearing protection, slickers, hard hats, coveralls, other protective clothing as required. Employer will pay $350 every 2 years (previously $300 every 2 years) for prescription safety glasses, $40 every 2 years when lenses are damaged.
