Renewal agreement: Effective March 2, 2020 to March 1, 2023. Signed on June 19, 2020.

Shift premium: Single payment of $4.60 for 60 minutes worked or $9.20 for 61 to 120 minutes worked or $13.80 for 121 to 239 minutes worked or $23 for 240 or more minutes worked when employee is scheduled for tour of duty between midnight and 6 a.m. Single payment of $6.60 for 60 minutes worked or $11.55 for 61 to 120 minutes worked or $19.80 for 121 to 239 minutes worked or $33 for 240 or more minutes worked when employee is scheduled for tour of duty on weekends, employer holidays.

Paid holidays: 9 days, plus 2 personal floater days.

Vacations with pay: 1 day per month, maximum 12 days, to start, 3 weeks after 1 year, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 18 years. Vacations must be taken between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31 in calendar year in which they were earned but vacation may be carried over until April 30, of following year, with employer approval.

Overtime: Time and one-half for work after 7.5 hours in 1 day or 37.5 hours in 1 week. Time may be banked, maximum 75 hours per employee. Double time for employee who works on second scheduled day off in workweek.

Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of stepchild, brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, father or mother of common-law partner, other relative residing in same residence as employee. Employer may extend leave with pay, maximum 5 days, when it is necessary for employee to leave city in which they are employed.

Seniority – recall rights: 12 months after layoffs.

Call-in pay: Time and one-half, minimum 4 hours of pay.

Probationary period: 130 days.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years for all disciplinary measures.

Safety shoes: Maximum $150 every 12 months when employees are required to wear CSA-approved safety footwear

Editor’s notes: On-call pay: $25 (previously $22.50) for each scheduled on-call duty between Monday and Friday; $35 (previously $32.50) for each scheduled on-call duty between Saturday and Sunday; $50 for each scheduled on-call duty on employer holiday. Termination lump sum: 1 half-month’s pay for each completed year of service, minimum 3 months, maximum 18 months.
