Wage adjustments:

Shift premium: $1.50 per hour (previously $1.25 per hour) for all hours worked between 6 p.m. to midnight. $1.50 per hour (previously $1.25 per hour) for all hours worked between 12:01 midnight to 7 a.m. $1.50 per hour for employee assigned as charge-hand. $1.55 per hour for sub-foreman (employee in charge of work centre who reports to foreman in another adjacent work centre) or employee assigned to assist foreman in direction of work affected by schedule. $1.50 per hour for employee assigned as expeditor. Double time for time worked on bridge, tower, radio, microwave structure or fixture outside perimeter of building, 85 feet or higher above point at which structure is affixed, minimum 2 hours of pay.
Paid holidays: 12 days, including Terry Fox Day, Louis Riel Day, floating holiday.
Vacations with pay: 0.288 of 1 day to start, 3 weeks after 1 year, 4 weeks after 6 years, 5 weeks after 14 years, 6 weeks after 21 years, 7 weeks after 34 years, for employee hired prior to April 15, 2015.
Overtime: Paid at double time. Time may be banked, maximum equivalent to hours employee would normally work in 4-week period.
Sick leave: 3 days after 3 months of service rising to 176 days after 10 years of service.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law partner, father, mother, spouse or common-law partner of father or mother, children, children of employee’s spouse or common-law partner, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandfather, grandmother of employee, father and mother of spouse or common-law partner of employee and spouse or common-law partner of father or mother, any relative of employee who resides with employee).
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months after layoff.
Call-in pay: Minimum of 2 hours of work at double time.
Probationary period: Maximum 6 months worked; 12 months worked for newly hired employee engaged for position of general apprentice.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years for all letters or references of disciplinary nature.
Severance: 1 week per year of service for first 5 years of employment; 2 weeks’ per year of service thereafter, maximum combined total 35 weeks of pay.
Safety shoes: Maximum $165 per year for employer-approved safety footwear. Employees will be allowed to carry over yearly allowance, maximum $330. Employer will reimburse employees for overshoes or employer-approved steel toe rubber boots, maximum $55 per year.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will reimburse employees for 1 set of coveralls per year, up to 50% of cost maximum $40. Employer will supply and maintain coveralls or smocks for garage and building maintenance employees.
