Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2014, to March 31, 2017. Signed on Feb. 7, 2015.
Wage adjustments:
Effective April 1, 2015: 1.3%
Effective April 1, 2016: 1.3%
Shift premium: $2 per hour on Saturday or Sunday, $3.50 per hour on night shift. Additional $1 per hour for weekend night shift.
Paid holidays: 12 days. Time and one-half for all hours worked on a named holiday.
Vacations with pay: 20 days after 1 year, 21 days after 5 years, 22 days after 6 years, 23 days after 7 years, 24 after 8, 25 after 9, 26 after 10, 27 after 11, 28 after 12, 29 after 13 and so on until 45 days after 29 years of service.
Overtime: Time and one-half for first 2 hours of work beyond a regular schedule, double time for all hours worked after that.
Medical benefits: Medical Services Plan of British Columbia. Up to $600 every 4 years for hearing aids.
Dental: 100% for basic services, 60% for extended services, 60% for orthodontic coverage.
Vision: $350 every 2 years.
Sick leave: 1.5 days for each month worked to accumulate up to 156 days.
AD&D: $50,000.
Life insurance: $50,000.
Pension: Municipal Superannuation Plan. Eligible after 3 months’ service.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for the death of a spouse, common-law spouse, child, parent, brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandparents, grandchild, or any relative permanently residing with employee. Up to 2 additional days for travel.
Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours’ pay at time and one-half.
Severance: 1 week’s pay for every 2 years of service up to 20 weeks’ pay.
Probationary period: 3 months.
Seniority – recall rights: 1 year.
Uniforms/clothing: Uniforms to be laundered by employer.
Mileage: 50¢ per kilometre.

Level 1: $31.53 per hour, rising after 9 years to $41.38
Level 2: $37.49 per hour, rising after 9 years to $45.94
Editor’s notes: Bonus: $100 per month for registered psychiatric nurses. Special leave: 5 days for marriage, 1 day for paternity leave, 2 days to attend to sick immediate family member. Immunization: Required at no expense for nurses working in situations where they may be exposed to infectious disease.
