Wage adjustments:
Effective Sept. 1, 2020: 0%
Effective Sept. 1, 2021: 0%
Effective Sept. 1, 2022: 0.75%
Effective Sept. 1, 2023: 1%
Shift premium: Double time for work on holidays.
Paid holidays: 10 days plus Terry Fox Day, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
Vacations with pay: Employees will receive 6% vacation pay in addition to hourly rate of pay.
Overtime: Double time for all hours worked in excess of 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week.
Sick leave: 1 day per contract for employees regularly scheduled to work minimum of 17.5 hours in 1 week.
Bereavement leave: 1 work day, without loss of salary or wages, for death of parent (including stepparents, legal guardian, foster-parent), spouse, sibling, stepsibling, child, stepchild, parent-in-law, sibling-in-law, child-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, any second-degree relative residing in same household, for employees regularly scheduled to work minimum of 17.5 hours in 1 week. Additional 2 days when burial occurs outside city.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 1 year for records of discipline.
Uniforms/clothing: Employees will be provided with PPE sufficient to meet public health requirements.

Student assistant 1: $12.24 rising 1 step to $12.36
Student assistant 2: $12.82 rising 1 step to $12.95
Student assistant 3: $13.40 rising 1 step to $13.54
Student assistant 4: $15.81 rising 1 step to $15.97
Research assistant 1: $12.82 rising 1 step to $12.95
Research assistant 2: $13.40 rising 1 step to $13.54
Research assistant 3: $15.81 rising 1 step to $15.97
Research assistant 4: $22.23 rising 1 step to $22.45
Academic residence assistant (for each fall and winter term): $799.97 rising 1 step to $807.96
Spring/summer residence assistant (per month): $799.97 rising 1 step to $807.96
Residence council presidents (3) (per academic term): $853.30 rising 1 step to $861.84
Editor’s notes: Orientation and training: Employer will provide 1-hour online orientation session for new employees Union will be entitled to provide overview of role of union. Employees will complete orientation upon initial appointment and will be paid 1 hour at applicable hourly rate upon completion of orientation. Training: Residence assistants, who are required to attend training prior to official start date, will receive additional lump sum payment of $150 per week, prorated accordingly should training extend beyond 1 week, in addition to room and board. Social justice fund: Employer will contribute $300 in each year of collective agreement on Sept. 1 to PSAC Social Justice Fund.
