Renewal agreement: Effective Sept. 21, 2022 to Sept. 20, 2025. Signed on March 2, 2023.

Paid holidays: 12 days, including National Truth and Reconciliation Day.

Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 10 years (previously 11 years), 5 weeks after 18 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours in 1 day or 40 hours in 1 week. Time and one-half for employee who commences second shift prior to expiration of 8 hours from last shift for all hours worked on second shift until 8 hours have elapsed from end of first shift.

Medical benefits: Employer will contribute $331.37 per employee (previously $326.37 per employee) to Prairie Teamsters Health and Welfare Plan

Sick leave: 48 hours, 60 hours or 78 hours per year based on weekly schedule.

Pension: Teamster Prairie Provinces Pension Plan.

Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in current immediate family (parents, spouse’s parents, spouse, children, brother, sister). Additional 2 unpaid days for travel for employees who travel 400 kilometres or more round-trip to attend funeral. 1 day for death of aunt or uncle provided employee attends funeral and it is held on scheduled day of work for employee.

Seniority – recall rights: 6 months for employee who is promoted to non-bargaining unit position on employer’s payroll. 1 year after layoffs.

Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours of work after time and one-half.

Probationary period: First 90 calendar days from first shift worked (excluding basic blue) or 200 hours worked, whichever is greater.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 1 year for simple letter of warning, such as disciplinary letters not involving suspension (exceptions will be issues that relate to discrimination or harassment); 14 months for incidents of same or similar conduct causing suspension.

Safety shoes: $100 every 2 years (previously $120 every 2 years) (footwear must provides CSA-approved toe protection).

Uniforms/clothing: Employer will furnish and pay for uniforms for employees as required. All uniform items, including shirts, will be replaced on 1-for-1 exchange basis as required. Coveralls will be provided in garage when required. Raingear will be provided when washing trucks. Employees will be provided with bullet-resistant vest.
