Renewal agreement: Effective June 1, 2013, to May 31, 2016.
Wage adjustments:
Effective June 1, 2013: 1%
Effective June 1, 2014: 4.5%
Shift premium: $1 per hours for all shifts worked between 2 p.m. and 5 a.m. $2 per hour for instructors while training new drivers.
Paid holidays: 11 days. Double time for all hours worked on a named holiday.
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 3 years, 4 weeks after 12 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked in excess of 40 per week, Monday to Friday. Time and one-half for all hours worked on a Saturday. Double time for all hours worked on a Sunday.
Medical benefits: Prairie Teamsters Health and Welfare Plan. Effective June 1, 2013, cost of the plan is $295 per month, company contributes 50% plus $70.
Pension: Burnco RRSP. 6% of earnings contributed by employee, matched up to 6% by employer.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for immediate family. That includes spouse, mother, father, sons, daughters, stepchildren, sisters, brothers, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandparents, grandchildren and step-parents.
Seniority – recall rights: 6 months.
Safety shoes: $100 per year.
Mileage: 45¢ per kilometre.
Sample rates of pay, current:
Tandem driver: $32.88 per hour
Tri-drive driver: $33.22
Five-axle driver: $33.60
Six-axle driver: $33.87
Reimer mixer driver: $33.60
Editor’s notes: Coffee break: Facilities for coffee at the concrete plant provided. Employees entitled to 2 15-minute coffee breaks each during the first and second half of a shift. Accidents: Employees involved in accidents may be required to attend driver improvement courses, the fees for which will be paid by the company and compensation provided for time spent at such courses.
