Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2022 to Dec. 31, 2025. Signed on May 27, 2022.

Wage adjustments:

Effective May 1, 2022: 0% to 2% (based on CPI rate)

Effective May 1, 2023: 0% to 2.5% (based on CPI rate)

Effective May 1, 2024: 0% to 2.5% (based on CPI rate)

Effective May 1, 2025: 0% to 2.5% (based on CPI rate)

Shift premium: $1 per hour for employees who train other employees. $0.50 per hour for all hours worked between midnight and 8 a.m.

Paid holidays: 12 days (previously 11 days), including Louis Riel Day, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Vacations with pay: 120 hours after 1 year, 160 hours after 10 years, 200 hours after 25 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for hours worked in excess of regularly scheduled shift.

Meal allowance: $20 when unscheduled overtime goes past 2 hours.

Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Vision: $300 per employee every 2 years, which can be used for glasses or eye examinations.

Sick leave: On Jan. 1, each employees will receive 5 sick days (previously 2 sick days). Unused days will be carried forward into following year, maximum 10 days in bank.

STD: Employee pays 100% of premiums.

LTD: Employee pays 100% of premiums.

Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Bereavement leave: 5 days (3 days paid) for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law spouse, children of employee or spouse (including adopted, foster-children, ward children), parents (including spouse or common-law partner of parents), grandparents of employee or spouse, brothers, sisters of employee or spouse, other relatives residing with employee).

Seniority – recall rights: 6 months for employee who is promoted out of bargaining unit. 2 years for employee who is on layoff.

Call-in pay: Greater of actual time worked at time and one-half or 3 hours at straight-time.

Probationary period: 6 months (previously 600 hours) of active employment.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years for disciplinary documents..

Safety shoes: $325 each contract year for protective footwear (non-CSA approved shoes such as runners, sandals, any other form of informal footwear will not be acceptable footwear for work).

Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide and replace as necessary, due to normal wear and tear, CSA-approved standard hearing protection for each employee who performs duties on ramp. New-hire employee who has successfully completed probation will receive: 4 high-visibility mesh T-shirts; 4 pairs of overalls /cargo pants (at employee choice); 1 pair of snow pants; 1 winter hi vis jacket, Helly Hansen Brandon jacket or comparable; 2 toques; 8 pairs of gloves; 1 set of raingear (for employees working outside at airport terminal).

Editor’s notes: Medical documentation: $100 per year for required medical documentation. Longevity premium: $0.50 per hour after 2 years; $1 per hour after 5 years; $1.50 per hour after 10 years; $2 per hour after 20 years; $2.50 per hour after 25 years. Per diems: Employees are eligible for meal per diem of $75 per day and are allowed to claim reasonable expenses for transportation for any work-related assignments away from main base.
