Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2024, to Dec. 31, 2026.

Wage adjustments:

Effective Jan. 1, 2024: 4%

Effective Jan. 1, 2025: 4%

Effective Jan. 1, 2026: 4%

Shift premium: $1 per hour for afternoon shifts. $2 per hour for evening shifts.

Paid holidays: 12 days.

Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 4 years, 4 weeks after 9 years, 5 weeks after 15 years.

Overtime: One and one-half times the employee’s regular hourly rate for all hours worked over 8 hours daily. 2 times the regular hourly rate for all hours worked over 11 hours daily.

Medical benefits: Prescription drug plan for employee and family at 80% up to $1,500 per person annually (or the provincial pharmacare cap, if applicable) and 100% thereafter. Extended health coverage for employee and family. Learn how to choose health coverage for employees here.

Dental: Basic services: 80% up to $2,000 per person annual. Major services: 50% up to $2,000 per person annual. Orthodontic: 50% up to $3,000 lifetime maximum per child under 19.

Vision: Under 21: $350 per year. Age 21 and over: $350 every two years.

Paramedical: Massage therapy with a limit of $80/visit. Physiotherapist, Chiropractor, Chiropodist/Podiatrist, Naturopath, Osteopath, Speech Therapist, Acupuncturist, Massage Therapist, Psychologist/MSW/Counsellor/Psychotherapist, subject to plan maximums.

Sick leave: After 90 consecutive days of employment, employees are entitled to sick leave as per the ESA.

STD: 60% of weekly basic earnings to a maximum of $700.00 per week. Weekly benefits, payable after the 1st day of accident or hospitalization and the 7th day of illness for a maximum of 26 weeks

LTD: 60% of earnings, maximum of $3,000.00 per month, per employee, payable after 26 weeks until age 65.

AD&D: $100,000 under the age of 65. $50,000 from age 65 up to and including age 74.

Life insurance: $100,000 life under the age of 65. $50,000 from age 65 up to and including age 74. $10,000 for Spouse. $5,000 for each dependent child.

Pension: The CLAC Group Retirement Savings Plan (“RSP”), administered by the CLAC Group RSP Board of Trustees or the CLAC Pension Plan administered by the CLAC Pension Plan Board of Trustees.

Bereavement leave: 5 days for the death of a spouse or child. 3 days for the death of an employee's immediate family (parent, sister, brother, grandchild, guardian, mother-in-law, father-in-law and grandparent).

Probationary period: 500 hours worked.

Safety shoes: When protective footwear is required, the employer will reimburse an employee up to a maximum of $250.00 every 2 years, upon presentation of a receipt of purchase.

Uniforms/clothing: Any required protective clothing such as gloves, cooler jackets, coveralls, rubber boots, and safety glasses shall be provided for and maintained by the employer.

Sample rates of pay (current, after increase):

Warehouseperson 1 new: $23.07, up two steps to $24.95.

Warehouseperson 2 new: $22.35, up two steps to $24.17.

Warehouseperson 2 5000+ hours: $23.85, up two steps to $25.79.

Editor’s notes: In lieu of benefits, part-time employees shall receive a premium based on number of hours worked.
