Renewal agreement: Effective March 21, 2018 to Dec. 31, 2022. Signed on March 21, 2018.
Shift premium: Train-length allowance (does not apply to locomotive engineers deadheading): $3 for 3,801 to 5,000 feet; $7 for 5,001 to 6,000 feet; $18 for 6,001 to 7,000 feet; $26 for 7,001 to 8,000 feet; $36 for 8,001 to 9,000 feet; $49 for 9,001 to 10,000 feet; $63 for 10,001 to 11,000 feet; $87 for 11,001 feet to 12,000 feet; $95 for 12,001 feet to 14,000 feet; $103 for 14,001 feet to 16,000 feet; $111 16,001 feet and longer. $0.75 per hour for locomotive engineer in yard or transfer service who commences shift between 2 p.m. and 9:59 p.m. (excluding arbitrary payments); $1 per hour between 10 p.m. and 5:59 a.m. (excluding arbitrary payments).
Paid holidays: 10 days, plus day after New Year’s Day is observed.
Overtime: 3/16th of daily rate for locomotive engineers who work in excess of 8 consecutive hours in yard service (excluding arbitrary payments).
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse, child, stepchild, still-born child, parent. 3 days for death of grandparent, grandchild, stepparent, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother, sister, stepbrother, stepsister.
Severance: $60,000 after 20 years of service; $55,000 after 12 years of service; $50,000 after 8 years of service as optional lump-sum payment. Additional $15,000 will be paid to employees who voluntarily elect to terminate employment within 90 days of offer being announced.

Editor’s notes: Snow-plow service: Locomotive engineers assigned to snow-plow service will receive 1 day’s pay for each 24 hours held and not used. Sleeping quarters: Where employees are accommodated in quarters provided by employer, quarters will be equipped with spring beds, mattresses, blankets, sheets, towels, pillows and pillow cases, screen doors and windows, cook stoves and cooking utensils. Lavatories and washroom facilities will be supplied where sewer connection is available.
