Renewal agreement:
Effective Sept. 1, 2019 to Aug. 31, 2021. Ratified on Jan. 23, 2020. Signed on April 23, 2020.
Paid holidays: 10 days.
Employees on layoff during July/August will not be paid for Canada Day unless it falls on working day and work on first normal working day following Canada Day. When Remembrance Day falls on day that is normally day off for employee, no pay or day off in lieu for holiday will accrue.
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% to start, 3 weeks or 6% after 2 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 8 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 17 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for work after 6 or 7 hours per day; double time after 4 hours of overtime.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 90% of premiums, employee pays 10% of premiums (previously employer pays 85% of premiums, employee pays 15% of premiums).
Dental: Employer pays 90% of premiums, employee pays 10% of premiums (previously employer pays 85% of premiums, employee pays 15% of premiums).
Vision: Employer pays 90% of premiums, employee pays 10% of premiums (previously employer pays 85% of premiums, employee pays 15% of premiums).
Sick leave: 0.75 days for each month worked (after 6 months of service); 1.5 days for each month worked (after 12 months of service). Credits may be accrued, maximum 70 days. Paid at 100% of regular rate of pay.
Pension: Local Authorities Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 5 school days for death of employee’s spouse, son, daughter, parent, brother, sister, parent of spouse. 3 school days for death of grandparent, grandchild, grandparent of spouse, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, other relative who is member of employee’s household.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months for layoffs or inactive service.
Probationary period: 630 straight-time hours worked or 12 consecutive months from date of hire, whichever occurs first.

ASL interpreter: $29.52 rising 3 steps to $35.48
Network support analyst: $27.06 rising 3 steps to $32.51
Administrative assistant: $20.72 rising 3 steps to $24.93
Desktop support analyst/accounts payable/library technician/education assistant/career practitioner: $20.41 rising 3 steps to $24.52
Signing EA: $23.74 rising 3 steps to $28.12
Clerk typist/library clerk: $16.45 rising 3 steps to $19.77
Editor’s notes: Medical notes: If employee becomes sick or disabled for more than 2 consecutive days, employee may be asked to produce certificate from physician or dentist attesting to illness or disability claimed. Costs incurred to obtain certificate will be borne by employer. Personal leave days: 2 days for employee employed for more than 100 work days per school year; 1 day for employee employed for 61 work days to 100 work days per school year; 0 days for employee employed for 60 work days or less per school year. Employee may carry forward 1 unused personal leave day from current school year to be used in next school year.
