Renewal agreement: Effective May 1, 2020 to April 30, 2024. Ratified on March 8, 2021. Signed on June 17, 202.

Shift premium: Time and one-half for first shift of changed shift schedule when change is made with less than 3 calendar days of notice. $2 per hour (previously $1.75 per hour) for all hours worked between Friday 11 p.m. and Monday 8 a.m. $2.25 per hour for all hours worked on afternoon shift on Monday to Friday. $2.25 per hour (previously $1.75 per hour) for all hours worked on night shift on Monday to Friday.

Paid holidays: 11 days.

Vacations with pay: 1 day per month, maximum 10 days, to start, 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 3 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 8 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 15 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for work after 7.5 hours per day or 75 hours bi-weekly. Time and one-half for all work on scheduled days off.

Medical benefits: Employer pays 70% of premiums, employee pays 30% of premiums.

Dental: Employer pays 70% of premiums, employee pays 30% of premiums. 100% reimbursement for basic dental services, including maintenance check-ups, fillings, X-rays, oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, denture repairs, maximum $2,000 per year.

Vision: $225 every 24 months (previously $150 every 24 months), including eye exam at 100%.

Paramedical: Services of clinical psychologist, maximum $20 per visit, maximum $100 per year. Services of naturopath, maximum $4 per visit, maximum $100 per year.

Sick leave: 1 shift for every 150 hours worked, maximum 225 hours. Each full-time employee, who has completed probationary period, will be credited with 45 hours in sick leave bank; 24.5 hours for part-time employees.

Life insurance: Coverage of $20,000.

Pension: Employer will set up formal RRSP plan for regular employees. Employees will be able to contribute 1% to plan, matched by employer on 1-to-1 basis.

Bereavement leave: 4 days for death of mother, father, legally recognized stepparent, husband, wife, son, daughter, stepchildren, brother, sister, common-law spouse, same-sex partner. 3 days for death of grandparent, grandparent-in-law, grandchild, mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, aunt, uncle. 2 days of unpaid leave for those employees who must travel out of town to attend funeral.

Seniority – recall rights: 12 months for layoffs; 30 months for illness or other physical disability and there is no reasonable likelihood employee will return to work within near future. 60 days if employee is transferred to position outside bargaining unit.

Call-in pay: Overtime rates of pay for all hours worked if employee is called in to work within 8 hours after working regular shift.

Probationary period: 450 hours worked. Time may be extended, maximum total probationary period of 900 hours worked.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months following disciplinary action.

Uniforms/clothing: Where required by employer, uniforms for staff of all departments must be purchased from supplier chosen by employer. Employer will provide uniform allowance for all employees who are required to wear uniform of $0.08 per hour paid, payable on bi-weekly basis.
