Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2015, to March 31, 2019. Signed on Aug. 18, 2016.

Wage adjustments: 
April 1, 2016: 1.5%
April 1, 2017: 1.5%
April 1, 2018: 1.7%

Shift premium: Saturday mechanics shifts: $1.25 per hour. Water treatment plant: $1.25 per hour for work between 4 p.m. and 8 a.m. Parks operation:  $1.25 per hour for work outside 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. regular shift. Recreation facility operations:  $1.25 per hour for work outside Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. regular shift. 

Paid holidays: 14 days.  

Vacations with pay: 10 days to start, 15 days after 3 years, 20 days after 8 years, 25 days after 16 years, 30 days after 25 years. Part-time: Days worked per week, plus 1 week for each year worked. 

Overtime: Time and one-half for work outside regular 8-hour shift. Double time after 12 hours. Double time for work on Saturday or Sunday, unless regular hours are scheduled for those days. Double time, plus regular rate, for work on a holiday.

Meal allowance: $10 reimbursement for work outside regular hours. 

Medical benefits: 100% premiums paid by employer. 

Dental: 100% premiums paid by employer. Orthodontic (children only): 50% reimbursement, $2,000 lifetime maximum. Major restorative (crowns and dentures): 50% reimbursement, maximum $2,000 per year.

Vision: $500 every 24 months. 

Paramedical: Physiotherapy, registered massage therapy, chiropractic, maximum $1,500 per year. Speech pathologist: $500 per person per year. Psychologist: $100 for first visit, $20 per hour for subsequent visits, $200 per person per year. 

Sick leave: 7 non-cumulative days. 

STD: 100% premiums paid by employer. 17 weeks or 85 working days at 100% of employee’s earnings. 

LTD: 100% premiums paid by employer. 67% of employee’s earnings, non-medical maximum $3,000 per month.  

AD&D: 100% premiums paid by employer. 2 times annual salary, maximum $150,000.

Life insurance: 100% premiums paid by employer.  2 times annual salary, maximum $150,000.

Pension: OMERS Pension Plan.

Bereavement leave: 4 days for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law spouse, father, stepfather, son, daughter, stepchildren, mother, stepmother, brother, sister, grandparents, spouse’s grandparents, grandchild, father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, or any other relative living with the employee). 1 day to attend funeral as a pallbearer. For death of any employee, maximum 3 executive members, 1/2 day off. 

Seniority – recall rights: 180 days. 

Probationary period: 6 months.  

Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months.

Safety shoes: $200 per year.

Mileage: Employee’s car: $0.52 per kilometre or $6 per day. Employee’s truck: $0.52 per kilometre or $18 per day.
