Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2023. Signed on Dec. 17, 2019.

Wage adjustments:

Effective April 1, 2019: 1.7%

Effective April 1, 2020: 1.7%

Effective April 1, 2021: 1.6%

Effective April 1, 2022: 1.5%

Shift premium: Minimum 10% above highest rated classification supervised when employee relieves in position outside bargaining unit (maximum 6 months). $1.36 per hour (previously $1.34 per hour) for afternoon shift. $1.42 per hour (previously $1.40 per hour) for night shift.

Paid holidays: 12 days.

Vacations with pay: 3 weeks or 6% to start, 4 weeks or 8% after 4 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 9 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 19 years, 7 weeks or 14% after 24 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for work after regular shift ends. Minimum 2 hours of pay at time and one-half for all work performed outside normal working hours or shift scheduled working hours. Time and one-half for all work on Saturday; double time for all work on Sunday. Maximum 16 hours per day worked; 60 hours per week for all employees. Time may be banked, maximum 1 week.

Meal allowance: $12.95 (previously $12.75) when employee works more than 2 hours of overtime continuous with regular scheduled shift plus further $12.33 (previously $12.75) when employee completes 5 hours of overtime work. $12.33 (previously $12.75) when employee works not continuously with regular scheduled shift and are called out before 6 a.m. or after 11 p.m. $12.33 (previously $12.75), after 5 hours of overtime, when employee works not continuously with regular scheduled shift and are called out between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. Effective April 1, 2022: $13.14.

Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for OHIP; Canada Life comprehensive extended health care.

Vision: Coverage of $420 every 24 months. 1 eye examination every 24 months, maximum $90.

Paramedical: $330 per year for chiropractor; $290 per year for massage therapist; $330 per year for physiotherapist including athletic therapist, then $13.40 per visit; maximum of $2,000 per year for counselling services provided by psychotherapist, psychologist, social worker with certification; $418 per year for speech pathologist; $198 per year for osteopath, podiatrist/chiropodist, naturopath, nutritional counselling by dietitian.

Weekly indemnity: Coverage of 75% of basic salary.

LTD: Coverage of 75% of basic salary.

Life insurance: Coverage of 2 times annual earnings.

Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse, bona fide common-law spouse, fiancé(e), child. 3 days for death in immediate family (father, stepfather, mother, stepmother, brother, sister, stepson, stepdaughter, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandparents, grandchildren). 3 days for death of son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law. Additional 2 days for travel more than 200 kilometres (1-way) to attend service.

Seniority – recall rights: 12 months to start; 24 months after 5 years of employment.

Probationary period: 6 months; 500 hours worked within scope of Local 4705 bargaining unit for part-time employees.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months for any notice of disciplinary action. Should employee be absent due to illness, personal leave of absence, work-related injury for more than 15 calendar days, 18-month time period will be stopped until employee returns to work.

Safety shoes: $262.71 per year (previously $258.57 per year) on first full pay period in May of each year. Effective April 1, 2022: $266.65 per year.

Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply raincoats, rubber boots to construction services employees expected to work in wet, inclement conditions. $157.62 (previously $150) will be paid out on first full pay period in May of each year to employees whose duties require that they wear bathing suit on daily basis. Employer will also provide these employees 1 sweat suit, 2 tank tops per year. Effective April 1, 2022: $159.98. Personal protective equipment is determined by employer and will be issued to each new employee (layered 4-season coat, water/wind proof over pant, helmet, safety glasses, gloves).

Mileage: $0.52 per kilometre when employee is using own motor vehicle.
