Wage adjustments:
Effective Jan. 1, 2014: 1.93%
Effective Jan. 1, 2015: 2%

Shift premium: 7% weekend premium for all regularly scheduled hours on Saturday or Sunday.
Paid holidays: 12 days.
Vacations with pay: 3 weeks to start, 4 weeks after 5 years, 5 weeks after 16 years, 6 weeks after 22 years and 7 weeks after 30 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums. 100% coverage for semi-private hospital room and board. 90% coverage for private duty in-home nursing services to a maximum of $25,000 per year. Hearing aids covered at 90% to a maximum of $500 per person in any 5 consecutive years.
Vision: 100% coverage to a maximum of $350 for prescription glasses or elective contact lenses in any 2 calendar years. Eye exams covered at 100% to a maximum of $80 in any 2 calendar years.
AD&D: Employer pays 100% of monthly premium. Benefit amount is 2 times employee’s annual earnings, rounded up to the higher multiple of $1,000 to a maximum of $700,000.
Life insurance: Employer pays 75% of monthly premium. Benefit amount is 2.5 times employee’s annual earnings, rounded up to the higher multiple of $1,000 to a maximum of $700,000.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for employee’s father, mother, brother, sister, spouse, child, father-in-law, mother-in-law, grandparent, grandchild or legal guardian. 3 days for employee’s son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law or sister-in-law. 1 day for grandparent of employee’s spouse.
Call-in pay: Time worked at time and one-half for 3 hours’ pay at regular rate, whichever is greater.
Probationary period: 6 months.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months.
Safety shoes: $130 per year.
Mileage: 51¢ per km.

Editor’s notes: On call: Employees receive 1 hour’s pay per 8 hours on call. 3 1/2 hours’ pay per 12 hours on call for employees on call on a day of rest or statutory holiday. Pregnancy leave: Up to 15 weeks. Parental leave: Up to 12 weeks. Performance pay: The employer will establish an annual fund of $600,000 to be distributed equally among employees who have been at the maximum of their range and have received top performance ratings.
