Renewal agreement: Effective Sept. 1, 2017, to Aug. 31, 2021. Signed on Sept. 5, 2018.
Wage adjustments: 
Effective Sept. 1, 2017: 1.25%
Effective Sept. 1, 2018: 1%
Effective Sept. 1, 2019: 1%
Effective Sept. 1, 2020: 1%
Shift premium: Minimum 10% for employees who assume duties of manager or whose job descriptions outline this responsibility. 10% for employee who works outside 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. or between 6 p.m. on Friday and 6 a.m. on Monday
Paid holidays: 13 days. 
Vacations with pay: 11.66 or 13.33 hours per month (for 35- or 40-hour weeks) or 8% to start, 14.58 or 16.66 hours per month or 10% after 3 years, 17.5 or 20 hours per month or 12% after 8 years, 20.42 or 23.33 hours per month or 14% after 15 years, 23.33 or 26.66 hours per month or 16% after 20 years. After 15 years of service, employee may carry over 2 years of credits; after 25 years of service, employee may carry over 3 years of credits. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work outside regular shift hours, double time after 2 hours of overtime. Time and one-half for first 7, 8 or 10 hours of work on first day of rest, double time thereafter. Double time for all work on second and subsequent day of rest. May be banked, maximum 3 standard work weeks per year. May be carried over into following year, will be paid out if not used by Aug. 31.
Meal allowance: Employer will pay for employee’s meal and employee will receive one-half hour for meal at full pay.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 90% of premiums, employer pays 10% of premiums for Yukon Health Care Insurance plan.
Dental: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employer pays 25% of premiums that includes orthodontic procedures coverage.
Vision: $400 once every 2 years.
Weekly indemnity: 4 weeks at full pay, 13 weeks at two-thirds pay after 90 days of service; 7 weeks at full pay, 10 weeks at two-thirds pay after 1 year of service; 10 weeks at full pay, 7 weeks at two-thirds pay after 2 years of service; 13 weeks at full pay, 4 weeks at two-thirds pay after 3 years of service; 7 weeks at full pay after 4 years of service.
Sick leave: 5 days per year.
LTD: After 90 days of service, employee pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 60% of earnings, maximum $4,000 per month (previously $3,000 per month). 
AD&D: Employer pays 90% of premiums, employer pays 10% of premiums for coverage of $100,000.
Life insurance: Employer pays 90% of premiums, employer pays 10% of premiums for overage of $25,000 or 1 times employee’s annual salary, whichever is greater.
Pension: Minimum contribution of 9.5%, of which employer contributes 7%, employee contributes 2%. 
Bereavement leave: 6 days for death in immediate family (mother, father, sister, brother, spouse, partner, son, daughter, stepfather, stepmother, foster-parent, stepchild, ward of employee, mother-in-law, father-in-law, step-in-laws, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, any relative permanently residing in employee’s household).
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months. 
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours of pay at prevailing overtime rate; minimum 2 hours at time and one-half for employees called-in immediately prior to regular starting time.
Probationary period: 910 hours worked for 35-hour employees, 1,040 hours worked for 40-hour employees.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 6 months for oral reprimands, 12 months for written reprimands, suspensions.
Severance: 2 weeks’ pay for first year of service, 1 week’s pay for each subsequent year of service, maximum 28 weeks. 
Safety shoes: $200 per year for CSA-approved safety boots, after 1 year of service. 
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply winter coveralls. $300 per year for all employees (excluding uniform personnel).
Tool allowance: $750 per year for heavy-equipment mechanics, after 12 months of service.

Editor’s notes: Standby: 1 hour’s pay for standby performed subsequent to regular work day; 3 hours’ pay for standby performed on day of rest or general holiday. Minimum 2 hours’ pay for any call requiring employee to work 2 hours or less; minimum 4 hours’ pay for any call requiring employee to work more than 2 hours and not more than 4 hours. Pay for actual hours worked after 4 hours. Attendance bonus: One-third normal day’s pay for each month during which no sick leave was taken. Will be paid by Jan. 31 of following year. Marriage: Maximum 1 standard work week to get married, to be taken at time of marriage. Yukon bonus: $2,900 per year travel benefit, after 2 years of service.
