Renewal agreement: Effective June 10, 2018 to June 9, 2021. Signed on May 6, 2018.

Wage adjustments:

Effective June 10, 2018: 1.75%

Effective June 10, 2019: 1.75%

Effective June 10, 2020: 1.75%

Shift premium: $3 per hour or part thereof, minimum 1 hour, when employee is temporarily assigned to perform more than 1 hour of work in higher-rated classification. $2 per hour (plus additional one-half hour of pay) when employee works between midnight and 7 a.m. $15 per hour, maximum $75, for satellite uplink operations.

Paid holidays: 9 days, plus 2 floater holidays.

Vacations with pay: 1.5 days per month, maximum 15 days, to start, 15 days after 1 year, 20 days after 7 years, 23 days after 12 years, 25 days after 18 years, 30 days after 25 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per shift, double time after 12 hours. May be banked as time off in lieu, maximum 64 hours per year.

Medical benefits: Omniflex group benefit plan.

Pension: Employer, employee will submit percentage of salary into DC plan.

Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of mother, father, stepparents, spouse (including common-law relationships of 1 year or more), child, legal guardian, brother, sister. 3 days for death of mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, relative residing in employee’s residence. 1 day for death of brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandparent-in-law, aunt, uncle. Additional 2 days for travel may be granted at employer’s discretion.

Seniority – recall rights: 2 years for layoff; 1 year for employee moved to another group.

Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours’ pay at time and one-half, including 30 minutes for travelling, double time after 4 hours of work.

Probationary period: 3 months.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months.

Severance: 4 weeks to start; 5 weeks after 5 years; 6 weeks after 10 years; 8 weeks after 20 years. As well, employee is entitled to 3 weeks’ pay for each year of service, maximum 68 weeks’ pay.

Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply protective clothing, safety footwear, safety devices for employees on assignments where conditions require use. Employer will provide varying sizes of parkas, boots to be taken in news cruiser if such clothing is required on shift.

Mileage: $0.45 per kilometre.

On-call: $2 per hour for employees during off hours who are available to cover emergencies or unforeseen assignments.
